Reports shows what needs attention at a glance. A number on Reports counts the low-stock and expiring items waiting there. It clears once you open Reports and comes back when something new needs attention. Smoother scanning. After you cancel an unknown code, Scan waits until the code has left the frame before asking again. A code you’ve just saved as a new item opens Add stock straight away. Create items as you scan. Scan a barcode Countstead doesn’t know, and it offers to create the item with the code filled in. If you prefer, it can open the new item straight away every time. Reports start with what needs attention. Low stock and expiring items come first, so you see what to reorder or use up. Export and print from one place. Spreadsheets, the PDF summary and barcode labels share one screen in Reports. Settings, sorted into groups. Settings come in groups, and rows like Language show their current choice before you open them. Also: What’s new now opens as its own screen. Show me takes you straight to each feature, and Back to What’s new reopens it for the rest.

Spot expiring stock at a glance. The Items list marks expired and expiring-soon stock, a filter shows just those, and each item’s page lists every location where its stock is expired or expiring. Numbers read the way you write them. You see and type quantities with your region’s decimal mark, like 10,5 kg, across the app, and Siri’s answers use it too. Countstead now tells you when an update is out, and you can check any time in Settings. Also: location tiles in Reports show how many items each location holds and how many are low; the Pro PDF inventory summary and the What moved report are redesigned; setup offers more business types and lets you skip the business question; and Settings lists open-source licenses under Acknowledgements.

Getting started is quicker. After "Start fresh", setup asks for your first item's name, then how much you have, one short page each. Not ready to count? Tap "I'll count later". The New item form opens ready to type, tells you what's missing when you tap Save, and shows its labels in your language. At the Free limit, Upgrade to Pro is now the main button, so you're never left at a dead end. Also: on iPad, the confirmation and its Undo now show on item pages too; the upgrade screen shows prices more clearly; and after a temporary App Store problem, "Check cloud again" now finishes setting up Cloud instead of repeating the old error.

Adding your first item is quicker: after setup, Countstead opens New item with the name, starting quantity and Save up front, then shows what to do next once it's saved. The short app tour now comes after your first item, not before it. The item form and its messages now follow the language you picked in the app. Cloud Sync is more resilient: a change that fails no longer holds up unrelated ones. We also smoothed out the first minutes: the quantity and Save buttons are no longer cut off, and the upgrade screen shows the Pro features that match what you were doing.
