Do you only realize it’s time for a break when your shoulders and neck feel tight and your eyes burn? Go Rest is a break‑reminder helper that lives in your Mac menu bar. Accompanied by Zai Zai the Siamese cat, you build your focus‑and‑rest rhythm. The menu bar shows how long until your next break. You may customize focus duration, and pause or resume at any time — consistent rest no longer depends purely on willpower. Three modes for you to pick based on how you feel: Countdown Break When time’s up, Zai Zai covers all your displays to prompt you to step away from the screen and gaze out the window, giving your eyes genuine rest. When the break finishes, return refreshed. Neck‑Twist Break Turn on your camera, or use motion‑tracking‑capable AirPods. Zai Zai detects left‑right head movements locally on your Mac. Guided by cute animations, real‑time instructions and clear progress tracking, you gently stretch your shoulders and neck. Stand‑Up & Neck‑Twist Break Put on motion‑sensing AirPods. Follow Zai Zai through three simple steps: stand upright, twist your neck side‑to‑side, and slowly nod up and down. Reawaken your lower body, back and shoulders from long‑time sitting. Every break comes with guidance, progress tracking and Zai Zai’s company. If detection fails, the app automatically falls back to countdown mode so your break never gets skipped. Camera feeds and AirPods motion data are processed locally on‑device in real time — nothing is saved or uploaded. No account sign‑up required; all your rest settings stay only on your Mac. Countdown mode is available for free. Unlock Pro once for permanent access to the two motion‑based break modes. Whether you are working, creating or studying, let Zai Zai watch over your screen — and safeguard your next productive focus session.
