Open straight to your Instagram messages with the feed, reels, and explore removed, so you can stay connected without scrolling
Konvo is Instagram with only the messages.
A paid Konvo subscription is required to access Instagram DMs through the app. Available plans, prices, billing periods, and any eligible free trial are shown before you confirm an Apple in-app purchase.
Sign in with your Instagram account and Konvo opens straight to your inbox. The feed, Reels, and Explore never load. Your chats are exactly as you left them, and everything you send and receive shows up in Instagram like normal, because it is Instagram, just only the part you actually need.
WHAT KONVO DOES
- Opens directly to your Instagram inbox, every time
- No feed, no Reels, no Explore, anywhere in the app
- Your DMs, group chats, message requests, and story replies all work
- You sign in on instagram.com inside the app. Konvo never sees or stores your password
BLOCK THE REAL INSTAGRAM, IF YOU WANT
Connect Konvo to Screen Time and the Instagram app itself gets blocked behind a shield. Your messages stay one tap away in Konvo. You get two passes a day, one for five minutes and one for a single minute, to unlock Instagram for the things that need the real app: posting a story, a picture, or calling someone. When the pass ends, Instagram locks itself again. The block is optional and you can turn it off whenever you want.
WHAT KONVO DOES NOT DO:
Konvo does not read, store, or transmit your messages. It collects basic usage analytics, such as which setup screens are reached and whether features work, to improve the app.
Konvo requires an Instagram account. Konvo is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.

Why make an app that could help everyone but you have to pay. You can’t do anything without paying, unbelievable!!!
Works sorta well

Simply try the konvo membership free trial, I was very pleased by my results of not scrolling. My main use of Instagram was to text certain people and it worked very well at that besides the fact that you cannot see pictures that are not saved in chat or call. Other than that it is very laggy, for some reason for me it did not block Instagram off my phone even when I tried multiple times so I had to hide and put a passcode on Instagram to limit myself instead, but overall a fantastic app. I would highly recommend in anybody’s journey to be less distracted by fake dopamine and to have a more meaningful purposeful life and not spend 10 years of your life scrolling.
Worth The Money

People are complaining about how it’s a paid service. The dev for this app is a teenager and is spending hours of his free time making an app for a genuinely good purpose. I love this app because it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. And if you get the yearly subscription, it’s on 25 dollars a year. People are willing to pay 100 dollars a year for a streaming service, so I think cutting down your screen time and stopping doomscrolling while still being able to connect with your friends is worth the price

Sooo many reviews complaining that this is a paid service, mind you its literally just some hs dude making all of this in his spare time like cmon.. A feature id hopefully like to see in the future is being able to send videos, calling and putting music on my notes. Gotta be moody on main somehow.
A refreshed onboarding experience with clearer subscription options.
Improved paywall layouts and loading recovery, simpler Screen Time setup, and fixes for voice messages, Stories, and visual glitches.
