Save your everyday prefecture or city separately from your trip plans. Add a trip name, dates, and multiple destinations, find official events overlapping your stay in Japan time, and add ideas to your plan. Region and trip settings stay on your device. No account or location permission is needed. The initial selection covers 13 prefectures and 23 municipalities with reviewed sources. Event coverage varies by region, and English event information is limited to selected venues. Links from web event pages preserve your saved everyday region and trips. Ask is now the core screen, combining conversations with Michi and Mikke, the map, My location, and outing search in one place. Places found by Mikke can be reviewed in a list, with details for each place. Show on map now identifies the selected event with a named pin and action card, leading to the weekend plan or official details. Event search handles more wording variations and always shows a way to close search. Empty dates or areas suggest the next action, and prior results remain if a refresh fails.

Your current location is now clearly identified on the map, with a labeled action for finding nearby outings. Place search starts when the map opens or after first-run guidance, explains unusually long waits, and keeps the last successful results available if a refresh fails. Network reliability is also improved for Weekend events and conversations with Michi.

This update makes the app’s purpose and next steps clearer for first-time families, and streamlines the journey from comparing places to building a Weekend Plan, checking in, and keeping memories. Empty results, local-data errors, and in-progress requests now provide clearer status and recovery. Dark Mode, larger text, input handling, data protection, and stability are improved.
