Twelve ingredients, all their numbers showing. Four make the answer for today. Pick four and Vodar tells you which way each total is off.
Vodar is a daily deduction puzzle about mixing ingredients. Every ingredient shows its numbers, and you use logic to find the ones in today's hidden mix.
Each ingredient has four scores from 0 to 3. On Mondays, they measure how strong, creamy, sweet and cold it is.
Pick four ingredients and tap Mix. Vodar adds up their scores. For each of the four totals, it says too much, not enough or just right.
It also says how many of your four are in the answer. You have six tries. If they run out, you can keep going or ask to see the mix.
There is a new puzzle every day, the same for everyone. The ingredients change with the weekday: coffee on Monday, spices on Tuesday, paints on Wednesday and perfume on Thursday. Friday is summer drinks, Saturday is a mezze table and Sunday is herbal tea.
There are three tiers, and each is a separate daily puzzle with its own board. Easy has ten ingredients and a mix of three. Medium has twelve ingredients and a mix of four.
Hard also has twelve, but it never says how many of your four are in the answer. You work from the directions alone.
A solver checks every puzzle before you see it. The clues always lead to exactly one mix, so you never have to guess between two at the end.
The app does the adding. Your totals fill up on screen as you pick, so you never need mental arithmetic. It saves your place after every move.
A shared result shows your arrows and dots. It never shows the answer.
Each of the four scores has its own shape as well as its own color. Vodar has screen-reader labels, scalable text, reduced motion, and light and dark themes. It is available in 20 languages.
Vodar works offline and needs no account. You pay once, and there are no ads or in-app purchases.
The name Vodar is the Belarusian word for aroma.

Vodar now shows its mark while it opens. Before, that screen was blank. Sharing from an iPad no longer closes Vodar. Some text in the app is also shorter and clearer.
