Watch what happened, right from the alert About a minute after an alert, it quietly updates with a picture from the recording, so you can see what set it off. It keeps the time the event happened. Tap the alert to go straight to that recording. Press and hold the alert to play the clip without opening the app. Other improvements Tapping an alert when the app is closed now takes you straight to that camera. Camera pictures on the home screen update on their own after new activity. Pull down to refresh your list of events.

• Live view no longer gets stuck on "Connecting…", and you can now tap Retry if a camera doesn't come up. • The LIVE badge only appears once there's actually a picture. • Tapping an alert now opens the right camera at the right location. • Added support for the Home Hub Mini.

Live view recovers on its own If you switch between Wi-Fi and cellular, or come back to the app after a while, the live picture now reconnects by itself instead of staying black. When a camera genuinely can't be reached — a battery camera that's asleep, for example — it says so rather than leaving an empty screen.

Works on more iPhones VestaHUB now supports iOS 17 and later, including iPhone XS and XR. Faster recordings The events screen loads much faster and shows all your cameras at once. New recordings appear sooner after an event. Faster camera settings Camera settings now open in a second or two on most cameras, and appear all at once instead of piece by piece. Delete recordings (admins) Admins can delete a recording by swiping left on it, or with the trash button while watching it. A deleted recording is removed for everyone at the location. Fixes and improvements • A camera that doesn't report one setting no longer hides its other settings. • Saving to Photos now tells you if the save didn't work. • Admins show as having access to all locations in Manage Users. • Other fixes and improvements.

See the last 30 days at a glance Tap the date above your recordings to open a calendar and jump straight to any day in the last 30 days. Days that have recordings are marked, so you can find the one you're looking for without opening empty days. This replaces swiping back through the last week, which couldn't reach anything older. Time zone settings for your hub Tap your hub at the top of the Cameras screen to see its time zone and current time. Account admins can change it from here — useful if a hub was set up on the wrong zone and recordings are stamped with the wrong time. Fixes • Some cameras were missing their Video and Night Vision settings entirely. Each group of settings now loads on its own, so one setting a camera doesn't support no longer hides the rest. • Saving settings is no longer blocked on cameras that don't report detection settings. • The back button now works while you're zoomed in on a live camera. • Saving a photo to your library now tells you if it didn't work, instead of appearing to succeed.

Bug fixes and improvements to camera setup.

A simpler home screen. • Arming is the first thing on the camera list now, instead of being buried in Settings. One tap to silence motion notifications when you're home, and one to turn them back on when you leave. • The hub no longer takes up space on that screen when it is working normally. If it cannot be reached, a red bar says so and explains what it means. • Clips is now Events. Hub Settings. • The hub's details — status, storage, sound, cameras and firmware — are now in one place under Settings, rather than split between the camera list and a separate firmware screen. • Checking for a firmware update is a button, so it only happens when you ask for it. Doorbells. • A doorbell's wired chime can now be set while the camera is being installed, rather than afterwards. Also fixed. • A notification badge could stay on the app icon after every event had been read.

Adding a camera takes less typing. • Your Wi-Fi is remembered. Enter it once and it is filled in for the next camera, and still there next time you open the app. Tap the eye to check the password before you rely on it. • The network name can be filled in from the Wi-Fi your phone is already on, so there is no typing a router name from memory. • Scanning the code on a camera starts quicker and focuses properly on the small sticker. Your hub, at a glance. • The hub card shows its last known status the moment you open the app, and says how long ago it was checked, instead of sitting empty while it looks. • It no longer reports a hub as Offline when the hub is simply busy. • A hub now appears even at a location with no cameras yet, so a new installation shows up straight away. • Pull to refresh finishes as soon as the hub answers. Also in this version. • Hubs are brought up to Pioneer's approved firmware during setup, with progress shown while it installs. • Pinch to zoom now works in portrait, not only landscape. • Removing a hub no longer reports an error after it has already worked. • A camera installation that did not fully record is no longer reported as successful.
