Fire Watch now supports iPhone Duo. • Outer display: map controls move to the system side bar. • Inner display, fully open: the map fills the screen with the smoke plume controls floating at the bottom. • Partially folded: the map on one side of the fold, the plume and fire details on the other. On other iPhone models, map buttons now use the system toolbar style.

AUSTRALIA JOINS THE MAP Fire Watch now covers Australia and New Zealand: satellite detections, smoke plume and air quality work just as they do in Europe and North America. In New South Wales and Victoria, fires reported by the NSW RFS and VicEmergency appear with their name, size, alert level and status, plus official perimeters where available.

SMOKE INCOMING, WITHOUT OPENING THE APP When a plume is heading your way, Fire Watch now puts a countdown on your Lock Screen. The expected smoke wave reads at a glance, a marker shows the estimated arrival time, and the scale adapts to the wait: one hour when smoke is close, up to eight hours when it is far off. Tracking follows you from screen to screen: Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, Apple Watch with a dedicated layout designed for a small display, and full screen when iPhone sits sideways on its charger in StandBy. Everything is computed on your device, with no server and no remote notifications. For longer waits, the "Remind me" button schedules a reminder one hour before the estimated arrival. BURNED LAND The map now shows what has already burned, in brown beneath the active fires: • Areas mapped by Copernicus EFFIS across Europe • Official WFIGS perimeters in the US and CWFIS perimeters in Canada • An estimated footprint everywhere else, computed on your device from detection cells A CONTINUOUS AGE SCALE The three red, orange and grey buckets are gone. Fire colors now slide smoothly from bright yellow (detected moments ago) to dark brown (seven days), with fine gradation across the first six hours where the information matters most. Size and opacity follow the same curve. FEWER FALSE FIRES Permanent heat sources are now recognized and set aside: industrial sites, gas flares, and solar panel glint, which is only ever detected in daylight while a real fire is also seen at night. They remain viewable, in purple, but no longer trigger a simulation. AIR QUALITY A colored veil marks areas where air quality is degrading, using the European index, with a badge showing the value at your location. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • The simulation starts at the fire's first detection rather than the moment you tap it, so smoke already on its way is visible and the slider spans past and future • A halo marks the fires whose plume can be simulated, so you know where to tap • Data stays on screen when a refresh fails, along with the time of the last successful check • Sources and filters panel: satellites, intensity threshold, low confidence detections, pass grouping • Markers redrawn in the visual language of iOS

LA FUMÉE ARRIVE, SANS OUVRIR L'APP Quand un panache se dirige vers vous, Firewatch pose désormais un compte à rebours sur votre écran verrouillé. La vague de fumée attendue se lit d'un coup d'œil, le repère marque l'heure d'arrivée estimée, et l'échelle s'adapte à l'échéance : une heure si la fumée est proche, jusqu'à huit heures si elle est lointaine. Le suivi vous suit d'un écran à l'autre : écran verrouillé, Dynamic Island, Apple Watch avec une présentation dédiée pensée pour un petit cadran, et plein écran quand l'iPhone est posé à l'horizontale sur son chargeur en mode Veille. Tout est calculé sur votre appareil, sans serveur ni notification distante. Pour les échéances plus lointaines, le bouton « Me prévenir » programme un rappel une heure avant l'arrivée estimée. TERRES BRÛLÉES La carte montre maintenant ce qui a déjà brûlé, en marron sous les foyers actifs : - Surfaces cartographiées par Copernicus EFFIS en Europe - Périmètres officiels WFIGS aux États-Unis et CWFIS au Canada - Empreinte estimée partout ailleurs, calculée sur votre appareil à partir des cellules de détection UNE ÉCHELLE D'ANCIENNETÉ CONTINUE Fini les trois catégories rouge, orange et gris. La couleur des points glisse maintenant sans rupture du jaune vif (détection à l'instant) au brun sombre (sept jours), avec une gradation fine sur les six premières heures, là où l'information compte le plus. La taille et l'opacité suivent le même mouvement. MOINS DE FAUX FEUX Les sources de chaleur permanentes sont désormais reconnues et écartées : sites industriels, torchères, et les reflets de panneaux solaires, qui ne sont détectés qu'en journée alors qu'un vrai feu se voit aussi la nuit. Elles restent consultables, en violet, mais ne déclenchent plus de simulation. QUALITÉ DE L'AIR Un voile coloré signale les zones où l'air se dégrade, selon l'indice européen, et une pastille donne la valeur à votre position. ET AUSSI - La simulation démarre à la première détection du feu et non à l'instant où vous le touchez : la fumée déjà partie est visible, la réglette couvre le passé comme l'avenir - Un halo signale les points dont le panache peut être simulé, pour savoir où appuyer - Les données restent affichées en cas d'échec de rechargement, avec l'heure de la dernière vérification réussie - Panneau Sources et filtres : satellites, seuil d'intensité, détections basse confiance, regroupement des passages - Marqueurs redessinés dans le langage visuel d'iOS
