Your results now show up on the screen you’re already on, no tab switching needed. Guided capture is steadier: the instruction settles instead of flickering, and the camera gives you a moment to hold still before it takes the shot. Plus smaller fixes.

Side profile photos are easier to take: once your head is turned and in the frame, the camera takes the shot instead of asking you to move closer or centre your face. Plus smaller fixes.

Taking your first photos is more forgiving: in low light the shutter stays available and “Take it anyway” is a proper button, the Home screen always offers a way into the camera, and the camera permission screen explains what the camera is for and that nothing uploads until you take a photo. Scores are now available for members aged 60 and over, using a clearly disclosed ages 40–59 reference group where age-matched data is unavailable, and the score explanation now matches how the measurements and score bands work. Plus smaller fixes throughout the app.

Your membership now unlocks reliably after you buy or restore, even if your connection drops. The camera waits for you to turn your head before taking each angle, and tells you what to change if a photo isn't accepted. Habits and reminders follow your local time. You can now turn on facial-hair recommendations in your account settings. Plus many smaller fixes throughout the app.

Your six-photo scan now offers clearer guidance and lets you review each photo before continuing. Photos are measured in the correct orientation. The free preview recognizes bald or shaved heads and skips hair suggestions automatically. Your Home screen now highlights this week’s experiment so you can follow your plan.

Taking your photos is easier: the camera no longer asks you to come uncomfortably close, side angles work in ordinary light, and you can take a photo anyway if the guide won't settle. If you're bald or shave your head, you can now say so, and Maxx will stop suggesting haircuts and hairstyles.
