Recipe in, compliant Nutrition Facts out — now with the ingredient list, CONTAINS allergen line, final batch weight and a print-ready sheet.
LabelForge turns your recipe into a US FDA-format Nutrition Facts panel you can export as a PDF, PNG or print-ready sheet — right on your iPhone, fully offline.
Built for small food businesses: cottage-food bakers, Etsy sellers, and small CPG brands who need a real label without paying a monthly subscription.
HOW IT WORKS
- Add each ingredient with its nutrient values per 100 g (from your supplier spec sheet or a nutrient database) and the grams used.
- Set servings per container and the serving size.
- LabelForge sums the batch, divides per serving, and applies the FDA rounding rules automatically.
- Preview the panel live and export a high-resolution PDF or PNG.
INGREDIENT LIST AND ALLERGENS
- Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, ready for the label.
- Tag the nine US major allergens on each ingredient (milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame) and LabelForge writes the CONTAINS statement, species included.
FINAL BATCH WEIGHT
- Baking and drying remove water, not nutrients. Enter the weight of the finished batch and the serving-size grams reflect it while nutrient totals stay the same.
PRINT SHEET
- Tile the label at real size (2.5 or 3 inches wide) on Letter or A4 with light cut lines. Print on label stock or plain paper.
DETERMINISTIC AND COMPLIANT
- Rounding follows 21 CFR 101.9(c): calories, fats, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, fibers, sugars, added sugars, protein, and micronutrients.
- % Daily Values use the 2016 FDA Daily Value table; vitamins and minerals use the 2, 5 and 10 percent increments.
- Serving size grams and "about" servings per container follow 21 CFR 101.9(b).
- A built-in reference screen shows the exact rules and values used.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account, no network, no tracking. Everything stays on your device.
- Back up and restore all your recipes as a JSON file.
LabelForge is a drafting aid. You remain responsible for the final label; always verify against current FDA regulations before printing.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
NEW
• Ingredient list in descending order by weight, plus a CONTAINS line generated from the allergens you tag on each ingredient (nine US major allergens, species included)
• Final batch weight: enter the finished weight so serving-size grams reflect moisture loss from baking while nutrient totals stay the same
• Print sheet: tile the label at real size (2.5 or 3 in) on Letter or A4 with cut lines
• Backup and restore all recipes as a JSON file (Settings)
• Duplicate-safe editing: empty recipes created by accident are discarded automatically
FIXED
• % Daily Value for vitamin D, calcium, iron and potassium now uses the FDA 2 / 5 / 10 percent increments (21 CFR 101.9(c)(8)(iii))
• Serving size grams follow 21 CFR 101.9(b)(7): whole grams from 5 g, 0.5 g steps between 2 and 5 g, 0.1 g below
• Servings per container rounds per 21 CFR 101.9(b)(8) and shows "about" when rounded
• Opening an ingredient no longer rounds stored nutrient values
