Musivum

Several web pages, one window

Only for Mac

Watch a build, a dashboard and the docs at the same time — in one window, without tabs. Split freely, scroll pages together, let panes refresh themselves. Musivum shows several web pages at once, side by side, in a single window. No tabs. Nothing to switch between. Everything you are watching stays on screen at the same time. Split a pane to the right or downwards, as often as you like and in any combination. Drag the dividers to give each page the room it deserves, and drag a link from one page into another pane to open it there — or onto a divider to give it a pane of its own. The arrangement is yours, and it is still there the next time you open the app. BUILT FOR WATCHING THINGS • Synchronised scrolling — scroll one page and the others follow, either by position in the page or by exact pixel offset. Made for comparing two versions of the same document, or reading a translation next to its original. • Auto-refresh per pane — from every five seconds to every fifteen minutes. Your scroll position is restored after each refresh, so a live dashboard stays where you left it. Timers stop while the window is hidden, so nothing runs down your battery in the background. • Full Window — give one page the whole window for a moment, then drop back into the layout exactly as it was. • Mobile or desktop, per pane — request the mobile version of a site in one pane and the desktop version in another, at the same time. • Page zoom per pane — the page re-flows instead of being scaled and blurred. THE COMMAND BAR Hold Option and a compact bar appears over every page: address field, back, forward, home, reload, zoom, refresh interval, scroll sync, split, close. A click acts on the page you clicked in. Hold Shift as well and it applies to every page at once. Tap Option instead of holding it and the bars stay put until you dismiss them, so nothing has to be held down while you work — the same thing the "Keep Command Bars Visible" command does from the menu. Every command also lives in the menu bar with a keyboard shortcut, and every one of those shortcuts can be rebound in Settings — to a single function key if a two-handed combination is not an option. A REAL BROWSER UNDERNEATH • WebKit — the same engine as Safari, with its own content blocker for ads and trackers, switchable per page. • Choose what leaves the app: keep every link inside Musivum, or send off-site links to your default browser. • Saved logins live in your macOS Keychain and nowhere else. Musivum asks before it saves one and asks again before it fills one in, and it never submits a form for you. • Downloads go straight to your Downloads folder, with a list you can open at any time. • History with as-you-type suggestions, and a single command to clear it — along with cookies and site data, if you want. MADE FOR THE MAC Written in Swift for macOS, a universal binary for Apple silicon and Intel. Sandboxed. Your layout, history and settings stay on your Mac — Musivum has no account, no sync service and no analytics.

Musivum 2.0 makes the window you rely on more dependable — especially for pages you leave running. • Dashboards recover on their own. A pane that hit a network hiccup used to keep showing the error page; auto-refresh now tries the address again on the next tick, and ⌘R does the same on any error page. • Your layout survives a bad start. Opening Musivum before the network was up could replace the saved addresses with blank pages. Every pane now keeps its address, and a workspace file that cannot be read is set aside instead of being overwritten. • Email and phone links work. Clicking a mailto: or tel: link opens Mail or FaceTime instead of an error page. Links meant for other apps ask first, and links to network shares are never opened. • Fewer interruptions. The offer to fill a saved login now appears only on pages that actually ask for a password, and stays quiet after “Not Now”. • Safer by default. Logins can no longer be offered for saving from embedded ads, website icons are size-limited, and downloads always stay inside your Downloads folder.
