Mic settings that actually reach your Shure, and sound options explained in plain English. • Changing EQ, compression, LEDs and other mic settings works again. The MV7 ignores commands while it streams audio, so a setting could hang and, on a shared USB hub, knock other devices offline. Mics now pauses its level meter for a split second while it talks to the mic: the meter blinks, the setting lands. • Moving the gain slider no longer freezes the window. Gain now goes through macOS, the same control as System Settings, and the slider opens at your mic's real gain. • Sound settings are a list with a plain-English line under every option: Cut Rumble, Clearer Voice, Volume Leveling and Prevent Distortion instead of High-Pass, Presence, Compressor and Limiter. • The level meter comes back on its own after you unplug and replug your mic.

Sliders that tell you which way is louder, and a level meter that behaves in dark mode. • Every slider now shows a ramp: tick marks that climb from short to tall, with a small icon at the quiet end and a large one at the loud end. "20 dB" and "-12 dB" told you nothing about direction unless you already knew the scale. • The level meter no longer looks half-lit in dark mode. Its unlit segments were a faint tint of their own colour, which turned muddy olive and maroon on a dark background. • The meter itself works. It read dead in some setups; Mics now asks for microphone access up front, follows the device's real sample rate, and shows honest dBFS across a 60 dB range. • Mics no longer stalls at launch waiting on an input device that never comes up, and now recovers when a device refuses to start rather than only when it hangs. • Unplugging a Shure no longer kills the level meter for your other microphones. • The window opens at its designed size every time, the sidebar no longer collapses on relaunch, and it can be resized smaller. • A new app icon.
