• Built for the foldable iPhone. Unfolded, Tivsy lays itself out for the big inner screen — larger posters, more of the guide at once — and folds back to the phone layout on the cover screen, without losing your place mid-programme.

No changes to the app itself this time — this release carries a preview video for the App Store page, so you can see what Tivsy does before installing it.

• Watch one ad on purpose and the app goes quiet for an hour — no banner, no interruptions. • The subscription now says hello on the home screen instead of hiding in Settings, and it takes no for an answer.

• The yearly plan now starts with 3 days free, and the purchase screen says so before you buy. • Fewer ad requests in the background, which is kinder to the battery and to a data allowance.

AirPlay now sends the picture to your TV as well as the sound, on channels that offer it. When a stream can only send its sound, Tivsy tells you and suggests Screen Mirroring.

Fixes a crash on Mac, where opening a channel or a film could close the app immediately.

Subtitles work properly now. On films and episodes where subtitles could not be chosen — often dubbed titles with a single soundtrack — you can now pick a subtitle track and see it on screen, or switch subtitles off. Each language is listed once, and your choice is remembered for every title.

A small maintenance update. Catch-up, downloads, the guide and everything else work exactly as before.

Links now open the app. Tapping a Tivsy link from elsewhere on your device opens the guide, or the channel it points at, instead of doing nothing.

Catch-up. When your provider keeps an archive, tap a programme that has already finished in the guide and watch it from the start. Providers without one are unchanged. Downloads. Keep films and episodes on the device and watch them with no connection at all. Your own groups. Press and hold any channel to file it under a shelf you made, and it appears on the home screen in the order you choose. iCloud. Favourites, groups and where you got to now follow you between iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Sleep timer, subtitle size and backdrop, radio stations in their own tab, what is on now shown on the home screen, and a warning three days before a subscription expires.

Jellyfin and Emby support. Enter your server address and account, and your films and series open straight in Tivsy — with the same subtitle and audio-track controls as everything else.

The Media Server option now talks to a media server. It had offered Jellyfin, Emby, Plex and SMB since the first release and was running the Xtream Codes panel protocol underneath — which none of them speak, so anyone who tried it typed a hostname and a password and got an error. Jellyfin and Emby are now properly supported: sign in with your server address and account, and your films and episodes arrive with artwork, plots and season numbering, ready to browse, search and resume like anything else. Plex and SMB no longer appear, because they are not supported. Claiming them was the mistake being corrected, not one to repeat.

Choose which feed a channel opens with. Providers send the same channel several times — 4K, FHD, a couple of backup servers — and Tivsy has always folded them into one row. Now you can open that row: pick the feed you want, and see which ones have actually played before, which failed last time, and how fast each one ran. The one you pick is tried first and the rest stay behind it, so choosing the 4K stream cannot leave you with a dead channel. On live television, the arrows for previous and next channel are now visible. The swipe always worked; nothing on screen ever said so.

Channels your provider lists more than once now arrive as one. A list often carries the same channel several times — HD, FHD, a backup server — and Tivsy already folded those together. It missed the case where the provider tagged some lines with a country and not others, so one channel could still appear twice, and the untagged line's address never joined the other's list of backups. Both are fixed, so there is one row and one more feed to fall back on.

Fixes a stall that could leave a channel frozen on its first frame. The player was starting without waiting for its buffer, which is quick when the connection is fast and, when it is not, leaves a picture on screen that never moves and never reports an error. It now waits for as much as it needs and recovers when a stream falls behind.

The guide now updates itself. Until now it only refreshed when you pulled down, so the listings could quietly go stale. Tivsy also asks once whether ads may be chosen for you. Decline and everything works exactly as before — you can change your answer any time in Settings. Several layout and stability fixes.

You can now unlock a second list, or extra reminders, by watching a short ad — no subscription needed. Fixed several issues that could leave parts of a screen blank, and made the app steadier throughout.

Fixed an issue where an empty space could remain at the bottom of some screens instead of filling in. Smaller refinements and stability improvements throughout.

Advertising now loads reliably; before this it often failed once and stayed blank. It still never appears over playback, and the one-off upgrade removes it entirely.

Fixes connections to providers on plain http, which previously failed as if the server were unreachable. Picture in picture and locked-screen audio now work. Media servers on your own network can be reached. Fixes a crash when opening Add Source on Mac.
