Quick settings right in the book: the «aA» button opens a panel with background, text size, alignment and page turning. «More» adds font, line height, margins, hyphenation, page animation and «Keep screen on». Changes show on the text right away. iPhone Duo support: buttons sit in system bars on the side, like in Apple's own apps. Unfold the phone in landscape for a two-page spread on either side of the fold. When you add a book that's already in your library, Foliant asks about each one, including books from catalogs. A book from a catalog lands on its series shelf right away. A long press selects the whole word, not just a syllable. Headings no longer break with a hyphen, and stray lines at chapter starts are gone. Search finds «i.e.» and full names where the book uses non-breaking spaces. Old EPUBs in Windows-1251 no longer show garbled text. Pausing read-aloud stays paused after a phone call. Moving settings to another phone keeps the books already there. Reader buttons have VoiceOver labels.

iPhone Duo support: the reader, library and settings fit both screens, and the unfolded phone can rotate. Settings open from the library as a full page, with a button back to your last book. Books without a title page now also start with the author, title, description and cover. Cleaner reader panels: equal spacing above and below the buttons on every iPhone. The progress bar no longer shows chapter marks at its very start and end.

Redesigned OPDS catalogs: add as many as you like, with a website-like home page — shelves, tiles and an alphabet. Catalog book card with description, genres and series; live search; books in a series appear in order. Select several books and download them at once. Books already in your library are marked and can be opened. Requests retry automatically when a server fails or times out. Books from catalogs now get their cover, series and description. Descriptions without paragraphs now also show at the start of the book. Title and author next to the island switch with an animation in the turn direction. On the «Finished» page a long next-book title wraps to two lines.

OPDS catalogs and servers at http:// addresses now open — previously only https was allowed.

Read aloud. Apple voices, no internet needed: from the current page, in the background and with the screen off. The sentence being read is highlighted, pages turn by themselves, your place is saved. Pause, previous and next paragraph, speed and voice are on a strip over the book; play and pause are also on the Lock Screen.

• English interface: the whole app is now translated and follows your iPhone's language. • EPUB: a line break inside a paragraph no longer turns into a space — poems without special markup, addresses and letter signatures keep their lines.
