A splash in the sink, rain on the way home, a few minutes too long in the shower — trapped water muffles your speaker and turns music, calls and alarms into a distant hum. ClearWave plays precisely tuned low-frequency tones that vibrate the speaker membrane and force the water back out through the grille.
No rice. No cables. No taking the phone apart. Just sound.
HOW IT WORKS
A speaker makes sound by moving a thin membrane. ClearWave drives that membrane with a strong low tone — around 165 Hz in the main mode — and the movement pushes trapped droplets out of the opening. Hold the phone with the speaker facing down and let the cycle run.
FIVE CLEANING MODES
• Speaker — the standard 30-second water-eject cycle for the loudspeaker
• Earpiece — a gentler cycle for the earpiece at the top of the phone
• Microphone — clears dust and debris around the microphone port
• Deep Clean — a longer sweep across a wider frequency range for stubborn water
• Custom — pick the frequency yourself, anywhere from 20 Hz to 20 kHz
SOUND TEST
After a cycle, check the result. Play left, right or stereo and hear straight away whether the speaker is clear again.
FREQUENCY GENERATOR
A full 20 Hz – 20 kHz tone generator with sine, square, triangle and sawtooth waveforms — for testing headphones, checking your hearing range, or setting up speakers.

PLEASE NOTE
ClearWave helps eject water sitting in the speaker opening. It cannot repair a speaker that is already damaged, and it is not a replacement for professional service if the phone has taken a serious soaking. Do not hold the phone against your ear while a cleaning cycle is playing.
ClearWave is free and stays free. If it saved your speaker, there is an optional tip inside the app — nothing is locked behind it.
Ratings & Reviews
Two fixes.
• When a cleaning does not get the water out, the advice that follows now starts Deep Clean for you. Before it named the mode and left you to go find it.
• The app no longer needs a connection to draw its text correctly on first launch — the font now ships inside the app.
