Fresh new look on the App Store and small fixes.

Plans now unlock only through the App Store. If you have an offer code, redeem it on the plans screen. Smaller fixes so subscriptions and account syncing stay reliable.

Creator codes now unlock the whole app, not just the first screen. If you were given a code and hit the paywall again after making a plan, that is fixed.

Roam Pro is here. Unlimited plans, in any city, for $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year. Travelling once? The Trip Pass gives you 30 days. Everyone who was already using Roam keeps everything, free, for good. You do not need to do anything. Also in this update: signing up now asks for your age, which it was skipping. If Discover or Chats went missing for you, that was why, and this fixes it.

Fixes, and one of them matters. Signing up with Apple or Google was skipping most of the questions, so a lot of accounts never got asked their age. Without an age Roam assumes you are under 18 and hides Discover and Chats, which is why those tabs were missing for some of you. Both are fixed. You can now set or change your birthday any time in Settings, under Safety. And the tabs no longer just disappear: if something is age restricted it says so, and tells you how to open it. Also: accounts that never set a name were showing up to other travelers as "You". Not any more.

The biggest update since launch, and all of it is free. Chats. A room opens for every plan you join, so the people going can sort out the details before the day starts. Message someone one to one once you share a plan. Build it yourself. Browse restaurants, bars, sights and the rest by category and put a day together by hand, or let Roam draft one and change what you like. Your passport. Add a bio, your country, and three more photos, so people deciding whether to join your day can see who they would be meeting. A redesigned Plan tab, a new way in, and a lot of small things made faster.

Add your own profile photo. Instagram stopped letting apps pull them, so pick any photo you like. Joining plans is simpler. Anyone can ask, hosts approve, and adding your Instagram and a photo earns you a verified badge. Share your passport. Turn your stamps into an image you can post anywhere. A cleaner profile page, a new look throughout, and a fix so blocked people can no longer ask to join your plans.

Plans build faster. When Roam has to swap out a stop it can't verify, it now does all of them at once instead of one after another, so you are not left watching your plan rearrange itself. If you try to publish a plan without a linked Instagram, Roam now tells you that is what is missing and takes you to the screen that fixes it. Roam's age rating also now reflects how the app actually works: 13 and over, with meeting up and bars kept for adults.

Roam is now open to anyone 13 and over. Under 18 you get the full planner, the map and your passport. Meeting up with other travelers stays for adults, and plans are built without bars or nightlife. Stops are also more reliable. Roam now checks real venues on the map as it builds your day, so the places it suggests are places you can actually walk into. That made the biggest difference in smaller towns, where it used to occasionally invent somewhere.

Every stop now leads with a photo of the place, with its rating and the walk or drive to the next one. Plan a day for a date that hasn't happened yet, and it stays on your map until it's over instead of vanishing overnight. Going back to a city adds to the stamp you already have rather than issuing a second one. Discover can take you to your own plan when it's in another city. Fixes: plans no longer quietly get shorter without saying why, and venue photos no longer show a website banner instead of the place itself.

Your day now runs on real clocks. Travel time between stops is part of the schedule, plans start from the moment you ask (not this morning), and the budget you set is actually kept — if a day can't fit it, Roam trades stops for cheaper picks until it does. Discover got a passport of its own: tap the city name and browse the public plans in any city on earth — see what other travelers have planned in Miami before you've even landed. Published plans now show as one card per person with their route drawn on the map. Join requests badge the Discover tab so you never miss someone asking, and your conversations now also live under Profile > Messages. And the Passport finally looks like one — every city you plan stamps a colorful card with its country's flag.

Already booked something? Tell Roam about it and your day gets built around it -- dinner reservation at 8, a show at 7, whatever it is. Roam fills in what comes before and after, and never moves the thing you booked. A nudge five minutes before you need to leave for the next stop, so you stop checking the time all evening. Decide how long you stay anywhere. Stretch dinner or cut it short, and the rest of the day shifts with it. Plans no longer include places you can't get into. Roam already checked every venue was real, in your city, and open when you arrive -- now, instead of warning you about a bad one, it quietly finds you somewhere better, or drops it.
