WHAT YOU CAN DO • Place sources, passives, semiconductors, electromechanical parts, and instruments • Wire freely; pan, zoom, snap, multi-select, copy/paste, and rotate • Use Ground as a shared common rail—parts tied to ground share a return path like a real common conductor • Measure with ammeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, and capacitance meter • Ohmmeter and capacitance meter read single parts or series/parallel networks (equivalent R and C) • Drive AC teaching demos with a wave generator and two-point wave display (scope) • Toggle switches and push buttons; see LEDs light and motors run under load • Save and open circuits as .es4u files • Light and dark themes; undo/redo; fit view and zoom controls COMPONENTS INCLUDE Batteries and wave generators, ground, switches and buttons, resistors, potentiometers, inductors, capacitors (including variable), diodes, LEDs, transistors, thyristors, op-amps, transformers, relays, bulbs, motors, and meters. EDUCATIONAL MODEL The simulator uses a clear DC resistive network solver with educational approximations for nonlinear and reactive parts. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and teachers who want to explore circuit ideas quickly on Mac. Requires macOS 11.0 Big Sur or later.
