Homeschoolio now speaks Spanish and French, and has a new guided tour. • Spanish and French. The app follows your iPhone's language. Filings, PDFs and CSV exports stay in English, because US school districts expect them in English. • App tour. A two-minute walk through every screen: logging, your students, records, filings, settings, and your data. Skip any chapter, and replay it anytime from Settings. • Request a feature and Report a bug. Two new buttons in Settings > Help send your idea or problem to us, and a real person reads every one. • Updated state rules. We re-checked every state against its law and corrected several for 2026, including New Hampshire, Mississippi, Tennessee, Rhode Island and Kansas.

Log the book while you log the day, and keep your curriculum with your records. • Book on the day log. When you log Reading, add the book you read. It goes onto your reading log too, so your booklist fills itself in. • Reading log in one tap. Records now has a Reading card for each student. • PDFs in work samples. Add a PDF, such as a curriculum guide or a scanned form, next to your photos. Documents are listed in your portfolio's work sample index. • Quick picks for subjects. Field Trips, Life Skills, Economics and more are one tap when you add a subject.

A clearer look at the free trial. If you can take the 14-day free trial, the Premium screen now says so at the top and on the button, so you know what you're agreeing to before you tap. Also in this update: • Trial reminder. If you start the free trial and allow notifications, Homeschoolio reminds you 2 days before it ends. • Fewer rating requests. Homeschoolio now waits at least 90 days between asking for a rating, and holds off right after a purchase screen or a problem.

Add your own subjects. Economics, Life Skills, Social Studies, a nature study, or anything else your family teaches: add it in Settings > Subjects, or tap Add a subject right where you log. Pick a color, an icon, and how long it usually takes. You can rename, reorder, or remove subjects at any time, and removing one leaves the entries you already logged as they were. Typing a sentence like "Economics 30 minutes" logs to your new subjects by name. Also in this update: • Filings and reports stay on one page with a long list of subjects. Plans move the list to two columns, and hours tables group the smallest subjects into one line so the totals still add up.

On iPad and Mac, the Premium screen and every document preview now open at full size, so the plan choices and the whole page are visible without scrolling. The subject chips in setup no longer break across two lines on wide screens. That is the whole update. Spreadsheet import, the Rate Homeschoolio row, and the rest arrived in 1.4.0.

Switching from a spreadsheet? Bring it with you. Settings now has Import from a spreadsheet (CSV): pick the file, check which student each name belongs to, and every row lands on the right day with its subject, minutes, and notes. A file you exported from Homeschoolio comes back exactly as it left. Nothing is deleted, and importing the same file twice adds nothing. Also in this update: • A Rate Homeschoolio row in Settings, for when the app has earned it. • Clearer wording in Settings about what export, import, and delete each do.

After you have logged about a month of school, Homeschoolio now asks once whether you would like to rate it. Before this, it only asked people who generated a filing, which meant most families were never asked at all. If the app has earned it, a rating is what helps other homeschool families find it. That is the only change in this update.

New in this update. Umbrella school report. A one-page enrollment and year-end report for umbrella schools, cover schools, and co-ops: attendance and hours against your state's figure, hours by subject, this year's courses, and books read, with a line for the school's name. In Filings & reports, part of Premium. Deadline reminders now open the filing. Tap one and you land on Filings & reports instead of going looking for it. Restored on a new phone? Homeschoolio offers Family Sync right after, so both devices stay on one record through your own iCloud. Today now points you to your records review packet once you have logged enough of the year, and to the right filing when a deadline is close.

Fixes in this update. If your iPhone is set to a non-Gregorian calendar, such as Buddhist or Hijri, the school year shown in the app and printed on your filings had the wrong year on it, and your instructional day count was wrong along with it. Both are correct now. Dates still display in whichever calendar you use. Adding a work sample from a high-resolution photo is now far lighter on memory, so large pictures import reliably instead of straining older devices. A long name, or one that starts with an emoji, no longer spills outside a student's monogram in the app or on the home-screen widget, and a long name or homeschool name no longer pushes content off the page of a generated document. The attendance and instruction record no longer prints a stray dash next to your state's hours requirement.

Two big ones for Premium families. Records review packet: one tap in Records turns the whole year into a reviewer-ready PDF for your state: attendance and hours against the requirement, hours by subject, reading list, work samples, and test results, with a cover you can sign. Family Sync: both parents log from their own phones and every device shares one record, through your own iCloud. Off until you turn it on in Settings, and your records still never reach us.

You can now report a problem without leaving the app. If a state rule looks wrong, tap "Does something here look wrong?" right under your state's requirements and tell us. Bugs, documents that came out wrong, billing trouble, and ideas each have their own door in Settings under Help. Reports are plain email from your own mail account. You see every word before it sends, and a real person reads every one.

West Virginia families: the requirements card and test scores screen now show the grades your state ties standardized testing to (3, 5, 8, and 11). Fresh App Store screenshots, and small polish throughout.
