Replace one or all matches, match whole words or case, and navigate directly to matching nodes. - Optional delete confirmations: Turn off confirmation when deleting nodes for a faster workflow. Deleted nodes can still be restored using Undo. - Better text-tool support: Node editing now works more naturally with macOS text replacement, snippets and third-party writing assistants. - Improved spelling support: Spell checking and automatic correction work more consistently, with standard commands for checking the document and opening the Spelling and Grammar window. - Stream to Marked now uses the same automatic format selection as Conduit—Fountain, a Markdown document or a Markdown list, depending on the outline.

New Versioning system - Optional document versioning for library outlines, using Apple system file versions. - New Settings > Library option to turn document versions on and choose how many versions Traverse keeps. - New File > Save Version command, with Option-Command-S shortcut, for manually saving a version of the current outline. - When document versioning is enabled, Traverse will automatically save a version when an outline opens or closes (if the content has changed from an already saved version). - Saved versions can be restored from the Versions menu beside the document breadcrumb. Other: - Improved handling for external file changes, including iCloud/system conflict versions. - Fixed an issue where opening an OPML file with Open With while Traverse was closed could briefly restore the last viewed library outline instead.

FIXED: - Library: Fixed a crash that could occur if the same outline file was discovered more than once while building the document list. - Document Details: Changing both the file name and title before clicking Done now saves both edits correctly.

What’s New in Version 1.1.6 Traverse 1.1.6 brings new Fountain export tools for screenplay writers, plus smoother navigation and writing in Outline view. • Export story beats: add a custom Lookup attribute with the key “beat”, assign values to nodes, then enable “Append beats as [[beat values]]” in Export settings. • Export marked Fountain notes as coloured markers, for example: [[marker red: Note content]]. Existing colour annotations for headings, scene headings, and synopses remain unchanged. • Story beats and coloured markers are optional extensions rather than standard Fountain syntax. Some Fountain apps support them and may display or interpret them differently. • Typewriter Mode now works in Outline view, keeping the line you are editing in a comfortable writing position. • Opening an internal node link or switching views now places the selected node around 40% down the viewport when space allows.

Enable “Show formatting toolbar when selecting text” in Writing settings. It is off by default; keyboard shortcuts remain available. Locked documents are clearly indicated in the address bar and Inspector, and can be unlocked from Document Properties. We have added an additional way to work with notes in Traverse. Alongside the existing note attribute type (that attaches the note as an attribute of the node) there is now the option of a Note type which stands as its own node. This opens up the possibility of using the 2 approaches for adding notes for different purposes. e.g. you could use attribute notes for internal Traverse information and use the Note type for notes that you might want to export with your content for use/reading elsewhere. NEW: - Added 'Note' as a new Type. - Settings: Added option to control which (if any) note types get exported - i.e. Attribute notes, Node notes or Both (or None) - Incorporated a Release notes outline (shown on first launch of new version and accessible at any time via Help menu) IMPROVED: - Option in View menu to open 'Document properties' (same window as when clicking on document breadcrumb) - Option to open OPML files via new 'Open..' menu item (you can also drop opml files on the icon in the dock to open) - Markdown syntax now processed as types (and heading levels dictating hierarchy) when pasting markdown text into a document with Type enabled - Traverse-added folders can now be moved to trash via the contextual menu - Reworded Delete in contextual menu for outlines to be 'Move to trash...'
