New: TB-12 Tractor Beam. Drain the beam with your Move ring and get the freighter out of the hangar. On Apple Watch and iPhone, with rings or the timer.
Some pilots, at the critical moment, switch off their targeting computer and go with their gut. Yours now tells the time — so maybe leave it on.
A wireframe tunnel. Red range lines closing in. A crosshair that locks on and holds. Stay On Target turns your Apple Watch into a 1970s vector targeting display, with the time underneath in a big angular red readout. It is, technically, a clock.
Spin the crown and the radio crackles — short pilot callouts, recorded for this app.
Tap the date and your week scrolls away into the distance as a text crawl: today, tomorrow, and every day after that with something on it. Drag it with a finger or spin the crown to move through at your own pace. Nothing booked? It says so, and it sounds pleased for you.
FOUR UNITS
- ANq 3.6 — the tunnel: receding frames and rays, a twelve-second loop of range sweep, lock-on and chevrons. Amber or phosphor green.
- T-s7b — the range grid: two gridded gates swinging through space, gold on crimson, a ship marker between them, contacts curving past. The gates fill with your rings.
- DS-1 — the orbital approach: a red planet edge to edge, a green moon coming out from behind it as your Move ring fills, stars lighting with Exercise, a reticle filling with Stand. Close everything and it locks on.
- YV-4 — the base tracker: the war room's plotting table. A planet dead centre, a tracker coming round it with a flashing red cone of sight that eats into the green as your Move ring fills, until it lands on your moon. Stand lights the rim scale, Exercise grows the moon.
Long-press for SYSTEMS to switch units. KEY shows what each readout means.
ON IPHONE TOO
The iPhone app is the console the display is mounted in: each unit on its own screen shape, with the date, clock, ring bars and your next appointment around it. Turn it sideways for the full console, or press FULL and keep only the display. The Mission Briefing crawl plays across the whole screen. One purchase covers both.
TWO GAMES
Tap GAMES on the iPhone console. Both are included.
Dust Runners: haul relief cargo across a desert world on a hover speeder. Twenty runs over a day shift and a night shift. Keep right, dodge the haulers, hop the rocks, blind raiders with dust and deliver on time. Three speeders, a garage of upgrades, three stars on every run.
Pilot training simulator: take the controls. Twenty short missions: dogfights, convoy escorts, carrier strikes and low runs down a narrow channel, each with its own sky and its own twist. Earn up to three stars on every mission, replay for the ones you missed, and open the next. The cockpit's targeting computer is the ANq 3.6 from this app.
WHAT IT DOES
- Always-on display: the clock keeps time while the animation rests
- Amber or phosphor green on the tunnel — tap to switch cockpits
- Radio callouts on the crown — every unit has its own, and two of them read the dial to you — silenced with one tap when you're in a meeting and your wrist starts talking
- Mission Briefing: your week's appointments as a receding crawl — drag or spin to scrub through it
- Rings, steps, resting heart rate and last night's sleep, read straight off the watch
- Countdown timers on the watch: turn the crown to set, tap the clock to start
- 12 or 24 hour, whichever way you were trained
- The watch app runs on its own; the iPhone app is optional. No account, no setup
- Collects nothing. We genuinely have no idea who you are
Tip: Settings → General → Return to Clock → 1 hour. Now it stays up like a real watch face every time you raise your wrist.
Don't get cocky.

Perfectly whimsical. Question: how do you remove the white Apple Watch time from the upper right corner while the app is running?
Developer Response
Thank you, “perfectly whimsical” is exactly what I was going for. The white time in the corner is drawn by watchOS itself. Apple shows it in every app, and as far as I know an app can’t switch it off. If that changes, I’ll take it out.
Doesn’t stay on my watch
Origin Story 1
Maybe I’m doing something wrong here. But once I have this enable on my watch if I’m not touching the watch or dial it goes back to my original face. Why is this?
Developer Response
Thanks for the question, and you're not doing anything wrong! Apple doesn't let third-party apps replace the watch face itself, so Stay On Target runs as an app. By default, your watch goes back to the regular face about 2 minutes after you stop using an app.To keep it on screen longer:On your watch: press the Digital Crown, open Settings > General > Return to Clock, then scroll down, tap Stay On Target, turn on Custom, and choose "After 1 hour." You can also set "After 1 hour" as the default for all apps at the top of that screen.Or on your iPhone: open the Watch app > General > Return to Clock and make the same change.Tip: double-press the Digital Crown anytime to jump straight back to the app. Thanks for flying with us. Stay on target!
Couldn’t get it to load
Y U No Like Import
That’s okay, because I hear that it disappears after two minutes. You could take the animations, break them into images, put them on loop and load it as an image animation and have it on your screen at all times.
Developer Response
Thanks for the idea, and sorry it didn’t load for you. The two-minute disappearing is the watch returning to its own face; Settings → General → Return to Clock → After 1 hour keeps the display up. If it doesn’t open at all, please email nirahlee@gmail.com with your watch model and watchOS version so I can track it down.
Bugs need to be fixed

Fun idea, but super buggy. Buttons and commands work sometimes, but not consistently. Needs some work.
Developer Response
Thanks for the feedback! Our repair crew has been hard at work: the buttons are much more responsive now. Update to the latest version and give it another spin.Stay on target!
NEW UNIT: TB-12 TRACTOR BEAM
A fifth display, on Apple Watch and iPhone. A freighter is caught in a station’s tractor beam, with open space just out of reach. The POWER bar drains from the right. While the red is lit, the beam drags the ship back toward the holding bay. Once the red is gone, the engines start winning, and the ship breaks out, leaving its trail behind.
Move drains the beam. Close it and the ship is out.
Exercise powers the engines.
Stand lights the twelve marks on the scale, one an hour.
TIMER mode: the countdown drives the escape, and at zero the beam drops.
New radio calls from the cockpit, from “caught” to “clear”.
The clock reads blue; a countdown reads red.
Find it under SYSTEMS on the watch (long-press), or with ◀ ▶ on the iPhone. KEY explains the readout.
