HONEST BY DESIGN
Narratives are AI-synthesized exclusively from cited open sources (Wikipedia and Wikidata contributors CC BY-SA, Macrostrat geology). Passages of general era background are clearly marked "period context" - Strata never invents records of your exact spot.
PRIVACY
Your location is used while the app is open - that's the whole product. Your exact position stays on your phone; digs are shared by neighborhood-sized square, never by your footprints.

SUBSCRIPTION AND PURCHASE TERMS
Strata Unlimited Pass (Annual) — unlimited new digs, auto-renewing yearly.
$129.99/year in the United States; the price varies by country and is shown on
this page and in the app. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at
confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is
cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account
is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period. Manage or
cancel in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not
cancel a subscription.
Traveler Pass (25 digs over 14 days) and dig credit packs are one-off
purchases. They do not renew.
