ChatVa lets you communicate with people nearby, even when Internet access is unavailable.
LOCAL COMMUNICATION AND MESH NETWORK
- Discover nearby users through your device's local connections.
- Exchange messages, photos, documents and your location.
- Create direct conversations and local groups.
- Group messages can be relayed between several compatible devices to extend local communication.
- Exchanges supported by the mesh network are end-to-end encrypted.
Operation depends on compatible devices being nearby, as well as Bluetooth and local network access being enabled.
LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES
ChatVa connects needs and offers available around you.
Post a search or a listing, then let the app detect matches between nearby users. When a compatible opportunity is found, ChatVa displays a local POPUP.
Free users can receive the signal that an opportunity exists. ChatVa Premium lets you view the full available information, including the description, price, photos, seller profile and contact options.
PROXIMITY MESSAGING
In a conversation, you can:
- send text messages;
- share photos and documents;
- take a photo directly from the app;
- voluntarily share your location;
- open a received location in Apple Maps;
- chat in local groups.
PRIVACY AND CONTROL
- Bluetooth, local network, notifications, camera, photos and location permissions remain under your control.
- Your location is only shared when you explicitly choose to send it.
- Proximity features are designed to reduce dependence on remote infrastructure.
- Some features require ChatVa to be installed and active on several nearby devices.
ChatVa brings together local communication, a secure mesh network and proximity opportunities in a single app.

This update makes local connections between devices more reliable: faster reconnection after a call and a unique identity for each device. Messages and media sent while offline are now delivered as soon as you reconnect.

GPS coordinates are no longer shown in contact profiles.
