StoryShards is a daily jigsaw puzzle wrapped around a serialised story. Each day gives you one illustration to piece together and one letter to read. Then you put the phone down, and the next chapter is waiting tomorrow.
SEASON 1 — THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER'S LETTERS
A new keeper lands on Quillet Isle and starts writing home. The island has a light, sixty-three steps, a slate on the chapel wall with the names of the drowned, and one discrepancy nobody wants to explain. 130 chapters in 13 acts. Each act closes its own question, so the story is never left hanging at an act boundary.
THE DAILY JIGSAW
• Five piece counts, from 25 to 240. Change it whenever you like — your streak and your progress are never affected.
• A tone tray that groups loose pieces by light and colour, so a 240-piece board stays workable on a phone.
• Filters for edge pieces and inner pieces.
• Three hints a day, with nothing to watch and nothing to buy.
• Progress is written the moment a piece clicks into place, so you can stop mid-board and come back.
READ AT YOUR OWN PACE
• Chapters you have opened stay in the Archive, with the act they belong to.
• Replay any jigsaw you have opened at a different piece count, or with a different cut — the same cut is always the same shape.
• Your streak counts the days you turned up. Nothing you can buy makes tomorrow's chapter arrive sooner.
QUIET BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-in, no social feed, no notifications begging you to return. The whole story and every illustration ship inside the app, so it works with the aeroplane mode on. Your progress is stored on this device, and if you are signed in to iCloud it is kept in your own iCloud account as well.
WAYS TO READ
Every chapter of every season is free to read, one chapter per day, forever. A subscription adds reading ahead of the daily chapter, the complete archive of every released season, and no ads. A one-time purchase keeps the Season 1 archive and removes ads for good. New seasons are released on the schedule shown inside the app, and they are read one chapter a day too — the story itself is never put behind a purchase.

Both carry the same rights: reading ahead of the daily chapter, the complete archive of every released season, and no ads. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and a subscription renews automatically at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. StoryShards Season 1 is a US$24.99 one-time purchase that never renews. Prices are the United States ones and vary by region. Whether you buy anything or not, every chapter stays free to read, one chapter per day.
