NEW Share into Butters Share photos, links and files from any app straight into a Butters chat. A photo of a delivery note can start a new invoice instead. Your whole chat history Scroll up in any chat to load older messages, all the way back to the start. Your place stays put while they load. Pin photos and files Pin a photo or a PDF, not just a message. With more than one pinned, the arrows step through them. Poke streaks in Messages Your poke streak with someone now shows beside their name in Messages and at the top of your chat with them. Last count in inventory The count history shows each item's most recent count, and the day it was counted, at the end of the row. No more scrolling back to find it. FIXED, FROM YOUR FEEDBACK Pinned messages show in full when you tap them, and links in them open. Go to message takes you to it, even if it's old. An edited message updates in the pinned strip, and a deleted one leaves it. View as: the banner no longer hides under the status bar, so Exit always works. Pick a role and a store, then tap View as to see the app the way they do. Chat settings open with everything in place, instead of filling in piece by piece. My Tasks loads faster, and a shared task can be unticked from Completed tasks. The weekly task dashboard shows each day's date, with today highlighted. Swiping sideways across the pinned chats no longer refreshes the list.

NEW Media, links and docs Every photo, link and file sent in a chat, in one place. Open the chat's settings and tap Media, links and docs. Photos are grouped by month, and you can swipe through them full screen. See who reacted Press and hold a reaction under a message to see who added it. Recent people New message shows the people you messaged most recently first. FIXED, FROM YOUR FEEDBACK Pinned chats show once, in the pinned row at the top, with an unread count on each one. Announcements stays pinned. Group chats show their photo at the top of the chat and in the chat list. Swipe a notification banner up to dismiss it. New task opens ready to type the title, and picking a name in New message keeps the keyboard up for the next one. Long task titles wrap instead of running off the screen, and the whole task screen scrolls, so a long title never squeezes the details. A task's notes show in full, and its settings fold away under Details. A past inventory count opens as a card in the middle of the screen.

v1.3 NEW Prep mode A full-screen view of today's prep list, in type big enough to read from across the kitchen. What's left to make sits apart from what's made, and the screen stays awake while you work. A Shift Leads chat for every store Each store has its own Shift Leads chat, with the right people already in it. Task notices for a store can go to that store's chat instead of one room for everyone. Quieter notifications No notification for a chat you already have open. A new message in another chat shows as a small banner inside the app. One inventory count sends one notification, not three. Announcements Must-read announcements sit on the Home board instead of popping up mid-task. Attach files, edit after sending (it's marked Edited), and see who hasn't opened it yet. Sending to the whole team asks first. Fix a day after it ends Correct a shift report note, a task, or last night's count after the day is over. You can submit last night's count even after midnight. Tasks The Store tab shows one day at a time. Lists update as soon as someone else finishes a task. Managers can tick off tasks from the Store tab, and a single wrong photo can be deleted. Shopping list Separate Bought and Ordered buttons, and what's on the way shows right in the count. Poke Tap a colleague's profile to send a quick nudge. FIXED, FROM YOUR FEEDBACK Every screen you type into now stays above the keyboard, including on the iPad. If the camera is off for Butters, tapping the camera tells you how to turn it back on, every time. It used to do nothing. Pinned chats also show in All, with their latest message. Stores are listed A to Z everywhere you pick one. A completion notice appears in the corner instead of covering the screen. The AI recap on Home no longer disappears if a refresh fails. One broken screen no longer takes the whole app down with it.

v1.2.4 Messages • Links are tappable now, and open without losing your place in Butters. • Editing a message on a keyboard edits it, instead of posting a second copy. • Butters waits to be asked before answering a message to someone off shift — tap "Ask Butters" when you want an answer. Inventory and tasks • Screens that open from the bottom no longer slide under the clock at the top of your phone. • The notes box at the end of a count stays above the keyboard. • Reacting to a task no longer shows stray text in the row. End-of-day report • Tomorrow's list is the store's work only — no personal to-dos, no announcements. • A task pushed into today and finished today now counts as finished. Minor • Spacing adjustments • Tasks default to "general" After updating you'll see a short note about what changed.

v1.2.2 Inventory • Owners, GMs and managers can count an item that isn't due tonight, and correct a night that was missed — pick the day in the history grid and open it. • The list shows what that day asked for, not today's. • "Same as last" is on the phone now, not only the iPad. Tasks • Delete a photo you took by mistake. Owners and GMs can remove anyone's. • Attach a photo you already have, as well as taking one. Owners can switch this off. • Push a task to tomorrow and the same button becomes the undo. • Taking a photo now works the first time. It used to need two. Profiles • Tap a colleague's name to see their phone number, if they've added one. • Write a line about yourself on your profile. Fixes • Logging an invoice on a phone works again — the photo appears after you take it. • On Android, the keyboard no longer pushes the whole screen off the top. • Back from a profile returns you to the chat you came from. • Tap a poster's photo in Announcements to open their profile. • The unread count on a pinned chat is no longer cut off at the top.

v1.2.1 Announcements • The board no longer goes blank once everyone has read a post. Past announcements sit at the top, newest at the bottom. • Posts show the poster's photo and name, grouped by day. • A "Seen" mark shows which ones you've already read. • Whoever wrote an announcement can delete it. Chat • File a chat away. Archive it and you are taken back to Messages, with a note saying where it went. • Swipe a chat right to pin, left to archive. An archived chat says "Unarchive". • Edit a message from the composer, with room to see what you are typing. • Notifications say "Sent a GIF" and "Sent a sticker" instead of showing the raw link. Prep • Flag a line as "make this first" so it stands out to whoever is on prep. • You can set the flag while building the list, not only afterwards. • Two people adding the same item no longer creates two lines — they merge. Your profile • Say where you are in your own words. "Off shift" can now read whatever you want it to, up to 40 characters. • Dark mode is back, under your profile settings. Team and setup • Team, Invites and Removed are now three tabs, with one place to change someone's role or stores, or remove them. • Rename a store tablet — owners, GMs, and that store's manager. • Revoking an invite now takes access back. Re-inviting reinstates. • You can invite somebody who already has an account from an earlier try. • People show in the team list or under "Invited, not joined" — not both. Help • New help site at butters.cafe/help — a page per feature, with search. It works without signing in, so a new starter can read it straight from the invite email. Fixes • Signing in on a computer no longer signs you out on your phone. • Dismissing "what you missed" now sticks. • Making a sticker no longer fails silently when you press Save. • The shift report no longer shows yesterday's weather while today's loads. • Text that was unreadable on yellow buttons and notices. • People who have left no longer receive notifications. • The week runs Sunday through Saturday again.

Counting Pause a count and come back to it — your entries are still there. A count now records who started it and who finished it, so a shift handover reads correctly. Anyone at the store can pick up a count somebody else began, and editing one now works. Prep One Add Prep button. Tick several items, set the amounts, and save them together — you are asked who it is for once, not once per item. A store with no fixed prep list can type names straight in. Chat Several photos arrive as one album you can swipe through. Any photo zooms. A deleted message stays in place and says who deleted it, and delete now works on text and stickers too. Group chats can have a photo, and being added to one notifies you. Do not disturb Choosing an hour tells you what time that is, and it turns itself off when the time is up. Notifications Every switch is real, and takes effect straight away. Rows you cannot act on are hidden, and there is a Reset to defaults. Fixes Tapping the camera on a task now attaches the photo. Counts started by a colleague can be edited. A tall photo no longer runs under the status bar.

v1.1.1. Bug fix - notifications

Butters now works properly on an iPad, and new team members are shown around on their first sign-in. ON A SHARED STORE TABLET Counting, prep and invoice capture are laid out for a tablet instead of a stretched phone screen. The number pad is bigger and has a decimal point, the note sits beside it rather than below, and the whole count screen fits without scrolling to reach Next. Rotating the iPad no longer loses an invoice photo you just took. FIRST SIGN-IN New team members get a short walkthrough covering Home, Messages, Ask Butters, prep, inventory and invoices, ending with the privacy notice. You can replay it any time from Profile settings. It never appears on a shared store tablet. INVENTORY Start tonight's count from Manage as well as from Home. The count history groups items by category. Entering a number on an item that already has one now replaces it instead of adding to it. PREP Totals are grouped by category, and each day shows the quantity made rather than just a bar. Adding a prep line no longer throws the keyboard up over the item list. MESSAGES On a tablet the conversation list is sized for a fingertip, and the navigation stays in one place when you move between Home and Messages. DEVICES Owners and general managers can look up a store tablet's sign-in email and passphrase again. New tablets get short sign-in addresses instead of long generated ones. ALSO FIXED Tag names in the weekly dashboard are no longer cut off. Assigned tasks have a Completed section. Finished days show a clear "all done" rather than an empty screen.
