CabRoyal Driver is for independent taxi drivers on the CabRoyal platform.
Anyone holding the required licences can apply from inside the app — no
invitation and no membership needed.
GO ONLINE
One tap to start receiving offers, and see waiting requests around you. Take
a break when you need one; at the end of a shift, turn on Way home so only
fares heading your way reach you.
A FAIR RANK QUEUE
If you belong to a taxi rank, fares that start at the rank are offered to the
drivers waiting there one at a time, in the order they arrived; if nobody on
the rank takes it, it goes to the nearest drivers. You see "It's your turn"
when the next one is yours.
• Live queue: who is waiting, who has an offer, who has a fare, who is on a break
• "Who took what": the rank's record of which fare went to whom
• On a break: keep your place while you pause offers
• Two declines an hour do not cost you your place in the queue
AN OFFER ARRIVES
A new offer opens full screen: where from, where to, the estimated fare, how
the passenger will pay and how far the pickup is. You have 15 seconds to
decide. Notifications can be read aloud, even with the app in the background
or the phone locked.
THE JOURNEY
Follow the route to the passenger and on to the destination, switch to the
tilted navigation view, and call the passenger from inside the app. Arrived,
start and finish come to you in order; the journey starts with the four-digit
code on the passenger's screen. Cancel with a reason if you have to. The
emergency button is with you on every journey.
RANK WALKIE-TALKIE
Talk to your rank with push-to-talk. Incoming talk is muted automatically
while you have a passenger, and recordings are deleted after a short time.
EARNINGS AND STATISTICS
Daily, weekly and monthly totals, split by cash and card. Earnings per hour
and per kilometre, your share of empty kilometres, charts by hour and by day,
your rating and acceptance rate.
YOUR CAR AND DOCUMENTS
Track when your documents expire. Log inspections, insurance and servicing,
and get a reminder when one falls due by date or by kilometre.
TAKING THE FARE
Today you take the fare directly from the passenger: in cash, or on your own
card terminal. The "I have been paid" button in the app is a record only.
RANK SUBSCRIPTION (OPTIONAL)
Queue priority and the walkie-talkie run on a monthly rank subscription bought
by the rank's owner: plans for up to 10, 25 or 50 cars. Payment is charged to
your App Store or Google Play account. The subscription renews automatically
unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or
cancel it in your store account settings. Receiving offers never requires a
subscription.
APPLYING
Apply from inside the app: personal details, vehicle details and documents.
Your account opens once your documents have been reviewed.
LOCATION
While you are online your position is shared, including when the app is in
the background — that is what puts you on a passenger's map and sends offers
to you. It stops when you go offline.
