A new welcome walkthrough shows you how E-Log works: preview LUTs live on your clips, toggle the graded/Log preview with the eye, and use smooth zoom. Plus stability improvements and refinements.

Smooth zoom while recording, from 0.5x to 15x, with no jumps between lenses. A new indicator on the monitor shows at a glance when you are really recording to the external SSD, so a clip never lands in internal storage without you noticing. Notifications stay out of your shoot. Set up the E-Log Focus once and iOS turns it on by itself whenever the app opens, and off when you leave. A bell on the monitor tells you it is active. Advanced focus: double tap a subject and the camera follows it, with focus assist highlighting what is actually sharp. Switching lenses no longer goes through black: the image blurs for an instant and comes back. More faithful colour in clips exported with the LUT baked in. Shadows no longer close up compared with what you see in the monitor and what you get in editing. Automatic copy to Photos for clips recorded on the SSD too, in the formats that allow it. A new intro at launch, comparing the raw Log file with the same image under a LUT.

Open Gate 4:3 at 1920x1440, 24 to 60 fps, with any codec. Auto exposure rewritten: smoother, and quicker to recover when the light changes. Variable aperture on iPhone 18 Pro, automatic or manual. Front camera: on 17 and 18 Pro it now uses the square sensor, with a wider field of view and native vertical. 4K60 in H.265 no longer drops frames. Added ProRes 422 Proxy and the Extreme level. The menu tells you which formats need an SSD before you pick one, not after. More reliable focus when the priority finds no subject, and on the front camera. The lock locks the screen and leaves the buttons and Camera Control free. Gallery, trash, drive and photos now actually match, and you can delete clips on the SSD. Log stays free: recording, previewing looks on the monitor and exporting the originals cost nothing. Baking the color into the file, exporting it already graded, saving to Photos and recording to an SSD now need the subscription.

Smoother, safer, faster to start. The monitor is now as fluid as the native camera, even with a LUT, zebra or peaking on. Your clip is always saved: if a call, the lock button or leaving the app interrupts a recording, E-Log closes the file for you. If iOS leaves the camera paused, E-Log restarts it on its own. Automatic exposure now uses the full ISO and shutter range of your iPhone, with no hidden limits. Ready for the variable aperture of iPhone 18 Pro, from the app and from Camera Control. A new opening animation, a clearer REC timer and more readable settings.

Recording to an external SSD is easier: when you connect a drive, E-Log asks whether to record there and remembers your choice. The drive's clips show up in the gallery: watch them with the preview, change LUT and export them already colored, all at once if you like. New 30 fps in PAL, plus a clearer color histogram and waveform.
