HOBBY TRACKER ON APPLE WATCH Start, pause and stop a timer from your wrist, and it shows up on your iPhone. Add notes by dictation, count rows, laps or pieces with a tap, and undo an accidental Stop for 30 seconds. It keeps working when your iPhone is out of reach and catches up when you're back. Add it to your watch face or Smart Stack, and turn on a gentle reminder if you tend to leave timers running. WIDGETS Six new Home Screen widgets: Today, This Month, Recent Hobbies, Favorite Hobby, Hobby Mix and Active Session. They follow your chosen theme and wear the Hobby Tracker logo. A running timer also appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. NEVER FORGET A RUNNING TIMER Turn on Settings › Timer, and Hobby Tracker will remind you if a timer has been running a long time. CHOOSE HOW EACH DAY IS COLORED On days with more than one hobby, color the day by the hobby you logged most often, or by the one you spent the most time on. Find it in Settings › Appearance › Day Colors. Thank you to the reviewer who asked for this!

This is a big update with lots of new features, check it out below and keep ideas and feedback coming! RECAP PDF: A new short, printable summary of a month or a year, alongside the recap image and the Recap Book. Look for Create Recap PDF on monthly and yearly recaps. It runs about four to eight pages depending on how much you recorded. RECAP BOOK: Rebuilt as a keepsake rather than a report. It opens with a cover and an at a glance page, then moves through where you went, your months, your sessions in date order, the things from your year, your hobbies, your projects and items, more of your photographs, and a two column logbook at the back. Every photograph is placed once as its own moment, and books with only a few photographs are composed with type rather than empty frames. RECAP BOOK ON MAC: You can now save a Recap Book as a file on a Mac. IN YOUR WORDS: Year in Hobbies, Share Cards and the Annual PDF can print the notes from sessions you highlighted, in your own words. It stays off until you turn it on for that output. OBSERVATIONS: Those same recaps can now include small observations drawn from what you recorded, instead of restating the same yearly summary. NOTHING CUT OFF: Text that does not fit now continues on the next page or card instead of being trimmed, and Copy Description matches the image exactly. MAPS IN SHARED RECAPS: The recap image, Share Cards and the Annual PDF now include a map by default. Maps are deliberately coarse, to roughly a kilometre, and anywhere you marked as a private place is left out along with place names. Each output has its own switch if you would rather leave the map off. SHARE CARDS: These now start with no photograph selected, so a photo is only ever included because you chose it. ACTIVITY MAP: Recaps has a new map with a pin for every place you have recorded. Filter it by hobby and tap any pin for detail. PINS BY HAND: Place a pin on any activity yourself, including ones you logged long ago. GPS ROUTES: A timer can record a route once you turn it on, either for a single activity or as your default. Routes can be trimmed at either end, every activity shows a small route map, and View Route opens a closer look. DRAWN ROUTES: No GPS required. Draw a route yourself by tapping waypoints. PLACES: A new recap built from the location labels you already use. PRIVATE PLACES: Mark somewhere as private to keep it off your maps and out of anything you share. MAP PRIVACY: Maps are drawn without contacting any map tile server, so looking back at your own history stays on your device. EXACT ROUTES: In the Recap Book, exact routes are off every time and are offered only when the book actually contains a recorded route. CRASH FIX: Fixed a crash that could happen when deleting an activity from its editor. LOG PAST ACTIVITY: Optional fields are now visible without opening More Details. DELETE ALL DATA: This now asks you to type a confirmation first. POLISH: Clearer wording throughout, and better layouts at the largest text sizes.

YEAR IN HOBBIES Look back on your year with a much richer annual recap. See your Hobby of the Year, the hobbies you kept coming back to, favorite memories, activity patterns, photos, highlights, interesting observations, playful Hobby Graveyard moments, and a complete year by the numbers. HOBBY BOOK Turn your year into a keepsake-style PDF built from your actual hobby memories. Hobby Books include an annual opening, hobby chapters, selected sessions, journal entries, photos, measurements, milestones, linked items, varied page layouts, a chronological montage, and a quiet closing. RECAP CUSTOMIZATION Make your annual recap feel more personal. Choose which story sections appear, turn Playful Insights on or off, adjust Hobby Graveyard sensitivity, control how many Graveyard hobbies can appear, and customize selected section headings and descriptions. BETTER RECAP EXPORTS Your in-app annual recap, share cards, Annual PDF, and Hobby Book now use the same underlying recap story and customization settings. This keeps your highlights, section choices, wording, and playful insights more consistent wherever you view or share your year. HOBBY BOOK DEFAULTS Save your preferred Hobby Book memory selection and page size so new books start closer to the way you like them. You can still customize each individual book before generating it, and your privacy choices remain separate for every export. IMPROVED YEAR IN PHOTOS Annual photo selection is designed to surface a broader mix of meaningful memories across your hobbies and throughout the year. Photo mosaics, share cards, Annual PDFs, and Hobby Books now have a stronger visual connection to the sessions you actually want to remember. IMPROVED DEMO EXPERIENCE Demo Mode now presents a more believable hobby year with better activity balance, more varied journal entries, stronger annual storylines, improved photo coverage, and more meaningful examples throughout Year in Hobbies and Hobby Book.

Journal entries are here. You can now add multiple notes to a hobby session as it happens, making it easier to capture thoughts, progress, details, and little moments you want to remember later. This update also includes related reliability and compatibility improvements.

The standard poster size remains unchanged when everything fits, while content-heavy recaps receive the extra space they need. Text, photos, and visualizations remain readable instead of being reduced or cropped. This update also includes full app backups, Project Journal archives, additional appearance themes, layout refinements, and a cleaner presentation for Hobby, Project, and Recent Activity lists. Hobby Tracker is private and pressure-free. There are no accounts, logins, ads, analytics, required streaks, or third-party tracking. Your hobby data stays under your control.
