Aquvix is the companion app for the Aquvix self-following rescue buoy, available to rent at partner beaches and resorts. The buoy stays with you in the water. It follows your wrist tag at the distance you choose, comes closer when you call it, and raises an emergency request when you hold the button. Aquvix shows you all of it on your phone. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick up a rescue buoy and wrist tag at the front desk. 2. Open Aquvix, register once, and scan the QR code on the tag. 3. Read the two-page guide, start your session and go for a swim. 4. End the session in the app and return the equipment. Setup takes under a minute. There is no account to create and no password to remember. WHILE YOU SWIM - Live map: your buoy and your position, the distance between them and your current coordinates - Swim path: a dotted trail of where you have been, and a Tracking view of the whole session - Equipment status: battery for both the buoy and the wrist tag, signal strength and last sync - Conditions: air and water temperature, wind and wave height at your beach - Reconnect: one tap to re-establish the link if the signal drops TWO WAYS TO USE THE TAG Press once and the buoy leaves its following distance to come right up to you. Useful when you want something to hold on to, when you need a moment to catch your breath, or when the water turns choppy. Press and hold and the buoy comes to you while an SOS goes to the facility's safety desk. The people who can reach you are told immediately, and they know exactly where to go. IF AN SOS IS RAISED Aquvix switches to the rescue screen and stays there until the incident is resolved, showing: - where the SOS was raised and how far you have drifted since - the rescuer approaching from the shore station - a timeline from the request through acknowledgement, dispatch, arrival and completion - a direct call button to the safety office Family or friends on shore can follow the same screen on their ow guessing while a rescue is under way. MADE FOR THE WATER - Large, high-contrast readouts that stay legible on a wet screen in bright sun - Distances and battery levels sized to be read at a glance, not - Your phone's location is never used; positions come from the buoy itself SETTINGS Choose how closely the buoy follows, from 1 to 10 metres. Switch between metres and yards, or Celsius and Fahrenheit. Changes apply straight away, with nothing to save. PRIVACY Aquvix never asks for your device's location, because it does notn the map is measured by the buoy's own GPS and sent through thefacility's system. The app stores what a rental requires: your name, contact details, the equipment you were given and where that equipment was during your session. REQUIREMENTS An Aquvix rescue buoy and wrist tag rented from a participating fnection. The app has nothing to show without the equipment. FOR BEACHES AND RESORTS Aquvix equipment is rented to facilities, not sold to individuals. If you run a beach, pool, resort or water sports centre and want to offer it to your guests, get in touch through our website. SAFETY NOTICE Aquvix is an aid and does not replace lifeguards, supervision or safe swimming practice. It does not make you a stronger swimmer and it cannot prevent every emergency.
