SubjectCards is for adults learning a language for a reason: a trip, a partner's family, a job in a new city, a grandmother who never learned English. Nothing here is a game. There are no points, and nothing asks you to protect a streak. There is a card with a voice saying it properly, and a schedule that knows when you need to see it again.
YOUR OWN PHRASES, IN A LOCAL'S WORDS
Type what you want to say in English. Up to three ways a local would put it come back, each with a short hint about who to say it to, because the form you use with a shopkeeper is not the one you use with a friend. Pick one and it is pressed into a card: Vietnamese on the front with a play control, pronunciation and English on the back. Cards you make are stamped YOURS.
The free plan includes three phrases of your own. Premium lifts that cap.
HEAR EVERY CARD
Every card has a play control on the front and the back. Audio plays when a card flips, so you hear the tones before you read the letters. Every card in the library plays for free, so you can listen before you add it.
SPACED REPETITION THAT SHOWS ITS WORK
Grade the card (Retry, Got it, Too easy) and the SM-2 schedule decides when it returns. Today shows where each word stands, from waiting to taking root to yours, with how many come back tomorrow. Review ahead whenever you like. Studying is never locked behind the schedule.
A LIBRARY YOU BUILD FROM
Start with a curated core of 200 cards in nine categories, from greetings and food to directions and numbers. Add packs on top. Or make a subject of your own, name it for the trip or the person, and fill it from the library and your own phrases.
MONTHS, PRESSED
Practice on enough days in a month and that month's seal is pressed into your album, ink on paper. Miss a day and nothing breaks.
FOUR LANGUAGES
Vietnamese, Korean, Mandarin and Spanish, each with its own library and its own review queue. The first language is free. Premium opens all four.
WORKS ON A PLANE
Your cards and their audio live on the phone, and so does the schedule. Reviews sync when you are back online. No account is needed. Sign in with Apple or Google only if you want your progress on a second device.
FREE AND PREMIUM
Free: one language, a starter deck of about 25 cards built from your level check, three phrases of your own, and a listen to every card in the library.
Premium: the full library with every pack across all four languages, and phrases of your own beyond the three-card cap.
SubjectCards Premium is $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year. The annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Vietnamese phrases now come back three ways: northern, southern, and a respectful form for someone older than you.
Subjects and packs can be removed from their own page or from Today, which now lists them separately.
Fixes for stale decks after a sync and for drifting card counts.
