YachtNav 2.1 — now on the Mac, with a new way to find your way around: • New: YachtNav for the Mac — plan routes, view weather and tides, read tracks and logbook; routes, tracks, crew and vessel details sync via iCloud with iPad and iPhone (same purchase, no extra charge) • On the Mac: route inspector with legs and schedule, join routes, reorder routes with the mouse, nautical-mile scale, menu bar with GPX import and export • New navigation structure: four areas — Chart, Voyage, Logbook, Safety — on iPad and iPhone; area rail on the left, on iPhone in portrait a tab bar at the bottom with the MOB button in the middle • New on iPad: tide mini window in the area rail — nearest tide station and current curve, like on a boat plotter • New: your own folders for routes — keep many routes tidy, the same on all devices via iCloud • New: harbour entries — save fuel docks, boatyards, harbour masters and more on the chart, with your own symbol and note, synced via iCloud • On the Mac: ruler to measure the distance in nautical miles between two points • The bottom bar adapts to long waypoint names; the MOB button stays in place • The chart shows the whole route when you activate or edit it; place waypoints with a long press while editing • Weather and tides also work without a GPS fix: choose any location • Emergency numbers revised (MRCC Bremen, Falmouth, Spain), with an EU 112 line and a disclaimer • Better data safety: damaged storage files are backed up instead of overwritten

Cockpit update — the wishes from the last passage: • Full instrument panel right from track start — no active route needed any more • Distance and time under way now sit permanently in the bottom bar • Bottom bar collapses to a compact square with track, time under way, position and compass rose • iPhone in landscape completely rebuilt: single-line instrument panel, the full cockpit as on iPad • New for orientation: cardinal directions at the four chart edges, following the chart orientation • Bottom bar and MOB button sit lower — more sea chart in view • GPX import now works directly, even without a route set up • Fixed: the boat symbol seemed to turn backwards at very slow speed • Polish: slimmer weather-time bar, rating link in the settings

• iCloud sync repaired: a stalled sync now recovers on its own — routes, tracks, crew and the watch schedule arrive reliably on all devices • New: vessel details (name, MMSI, persons on board, yacht type, fuel figures) now sync via iCloud as well
