Most photography apps answer one question. A weather app tells you the clouds. A sun tracker tells you the angle. A tide table tells you the water. Atlara Sky combines all of those apps into a single source that answers the only question that matters: when should I be there, and why? ONE SCORE, AND THE REASONS BEHIND IT Open the app and your current location is already scored for photography, hour by hour, for the next 24 hours. Beside the score are the two or three conditions that produced it — cloud cover, precipitation, light, wind, visibility, moonlight. Tap any of them to see a full-day chart with the good and best windows highlighted. No other app shows you the number and the reasoning together. PLAN THE PHOTOGRAPH, NOT JUST THE DAY Choose what you want to shoot — a landscape, sunrise, sunset, the Moon, the Milky Way, star trails, stars, or the northern lights — and Atlara Sky ranks the best windows across your date range for that subject. A Milky Way plan is scored on darkness and moon interference; a sunset plan on golden light and clear horizons. Then jump straight to the map at the recommended time. SEE THE ALIGNMENT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE The planner map draws the Sun, Moon, and Milky Way paths over your exact shooting point, with altitude and bearing for any minute of the day. Scrub the time, set your camera direction, and use the AR sky guide on location to confirm where the subject will rise. NORTHERN LIGHTS, BUILT IN Live space-weather outlook, Kp and activity context, and a dedicated aurora photograph type so your plan accounts for darkness, moon, and forecast together — not just a Kp number in a separate app. REAL WEATHER, PHOTOGRAPHER'S TERMS Hourly cloud cover, precipitation probability, wind, humidity, visibility, and temperature, with freshness shown so you know whether you are looking at live data or a cached forecast. Golden hour, blue hour, civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight, moonrise and moonset, and Milky Way core rise and set all sit on one local-day timeline. TIDES FOR U.S. COASTS Planning a seascape? Supported U.S. coastal locations show NOAA tide predictions on the same plan as your light and weather, so low tide and golden hour can be lined up in one place. WORKS IN THE FIELD, OFFLINE Saved plans, locations, notes, scouting images, inspiration references, and your finished photographs are stored on your device first. Astronomy is calculated locally, so Sun, Moon, and Milky Way timing keep working with no signal. Live weather, aurora, and tide updates return as soon as you are back online. Private iCloud sync is optional.
