• Bring a buddy along: a dog or a cat that stays beside your creature. It walks, runs, swims and naps with it, and keeps pace on rides. Ten breeds, each with its own coat colors. • Tap your creature and its buddy barks or meows back, silently, with a little hop. • Buddies appear on your widgets, the Live Activity and your Apple Watch too. • Buddies are optional one-time purchases, one breed at a time or as a dog or cat set.

• Your creature moves more like itself: it rides its bike side-on, swims a real freestyle, swings its arms on walks and does proper dumbbell curls. • Start a walk, run, ride, swim or lift on your Apple Watch with one tap. Ambly records a real Watch workout and saves it to Apple Health. • Rides, swims and gym sessions that Ambly records on your Watch now help your creature grow, just like workouts from other apps. • On iPhone, tap an activity under Let’s go to start right away. Recording options sit beside it. • Live Activities are now off unless you turn them on in Settings, so they won’t appear on your Apple Watch or in CarPlay unless you want them.

• Start an outing in Ambly and choose to save it to Apple Health when you stop. • Outdoor walks, runs and rides can record a route, even with your screen locked. • Connect workout routes in History to see your saved route on the map. • Prefer an outing without a route? Choose Indoors or turn off route recording before you start. • Angel wings have been redrawn as soft, feathered wings. • Tap your creature’s level to see how it has grown, and the shape of the stage still to come.

• Ambly now runs on iPad and on iPhone Duo. • On a wide screen your creature stays on the left while each tab opens on the right, and it wears what you try on in the Wardrobe. • Half-open on iPhone Duo, nothing sits on the fold. • Folded, everything is just as it was. • On iPad, a banner explains that your steps come from your iPhone or Apple Watch.

• History: every outing with your creature, from Apple Health workouts and the outings you start in Ambly, with its route drawn on the map. • Each outing shows its time, distance, steps, the weather and the city it happened in, plus any stamp you found along the way. • Share an outing as a polaroid: the route, your creature and where you went. • Tap a map to explore it full screen. • Add a place to an indoor or pool outing, searched as you type. • Smaller fixes and polish.

• Your creature now moves in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, wearing whatever it has on. • Cycling, swimming and strength outings get their own Live Activity with an elapsed timer. • Apple Watch: start and stop an outing right from your wrist, even with your iPhone out of reach. It syncs when they're back together. • Finish an outing and your creature celebrates with a tumble and pixel fireworks. • Activity tab: outings you start in Ambly now have their own section, separate from your Apple Health workouts. • Smaller fixes and polish.

New in 1.1: the Wardrobe • Dress your creature: hats, glasses, scarves, watches, wings, tails and more. Tap the T-shirt button on your creature's screen. • Try anything on for free, and buy only what you want to keep: single items or whole sets. • Already own a piece of a set? Complete it for less. • Hidden stamps: some walks quietly earn an album stamp you didn't know existed, with a free accessory inside that's never sold. The weather might have something to do with it. • Wings flap and tails wag, and wings now show properly on every body shape. • Limited editions: rare pieces that only arrive with a code. • Purchases come back on any device with your Apple ID (Settings → Restore purchases). • Smaller fixes and polish.
