Finds caches, logs and old downloads and lists them, right from the menu bar. Only what you confirm goes to the Trash. CPU, memory and battery at a glance. Souji Usagi is a menu bar app that cleans up storage and manages memory on your Mac. Most cleanup tools decide for themselves what to delete. This one does not. It finds what could be removed, shows you the list, and stops there. You choose what goes, item by item. ■ Cleanup It looks for caches, logs, old downloads and build leftovers. What counts as a candidate is set by a policy file you can edit, and the defaults are enough for most people. Findings are grouped by category with their sizes, and you can uncheck any of them. Pressing Clean Up asks you to confirm once more, and then moves the items to the Trash. Nothing is erased permanently — you can put them back. ■ Memory and power CPU load, memory use and battery state on one screen. Add the apps that use the most memory to My List, and you can select them later and ask them all to quit at once. It never force-quits — each app gets a normal quit request, and an app with unsaved work will ask you itself. The result tells you plainly which apps quit and which refused. ■ Scheduled scans and launch at login Scans run on a schedule based on how long it has been since the last one, so rebooting or sleeping does not restart the clock. Launch at login can be turned on and off from the menu bar. ■ The rabbit ears The rabbit ears in the menu bar icon fold and unfold in proportion to system CPU load. Idle machine, still ears; busy machine, fast ears. You can turn it off. ■ AI assistant (optional, billed separately) Change cleanup rules in plain language, or ask for advice about a scan result. The assistant only proposes policy changes — nothing changes until you press Apply. It needs an Anthropic API key and is billed per token, separately from a Claude Pro or Max subscription; roughly 2 to 5 cents per conversation. The key is stored only in the macOS Keychain and never written to the policy file or to logs. Without a key, cleanup and memory management work exactly the same. ■ About safety This app deletes nothing without your explicit approval. That rule is enforced by the code, not by a promise: there is exactly one call site that moves files to the Trash and it is reachable only from behind a confirmation dialog, and a protected-path list that no policy can override keeps it away from Documents, the Keychain and system folders. ■ Requirements macOS 13.0 or later. Universal binary — runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel.
