Emobox: Emotion Cards
Learn Emotions with Real Faces
$2.99
Help children recognize emotions through real faces. 1,440 photo cards, calm learning, no ads, no timers, and designed with children with ASD in mind.
Emobox helps children learn to recognize emotions from people's facial expressions.
The app was created for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but it's suitable for any child who is learning to recognize emotions.
HOW IT WORKS
The child sees a photo of a person and chooses the emoji that matches the facial expression.
A correct answer is rewarded with a green checkmark and gentle haptic feedback. An incorrect answer makes the photo gently shake, and the child can simply try again—as many times as needed.
No timers. No scores. No losing.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• 1,440 photo cards
• 2 genders
• 6 ethnicities
• 6 emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, and disgust

• Emoji Helper for children who are just getting started
• Emotion labels can be turned on or off
• A progress screen for each emotion to easily see which ones need more practice
WHY IT WORKS FOR CHILDREN WITH ASD
One screen. One task. Nothing distracting.
Clear, consistent feedback: green means correct, red means try again.
Large buttons, calm colors, and no loud sounds or flashing effects.
Mistakes are never punished.
These principles are inspired by visual supports and structured teaching approaches widely used by professionals working with children with ASD.
FOR PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS
