• A fresh look across the whole of Daybook: cleaner cards, a colour for each kind of thing, and big, clear figures. Calmer to read, and quicker to find your way around. • Home puts what is left to spend, a budget bar and what is coming up next on the first screen, so you can see how the month is going at a glance. • A new Calendar shows each day's spending as a heat map with the bills due; tap a day for every record on it. A Timeline lays each day's records and what is due on one page. • Bills are in one place now, with Upcoming and Reminders, and you can mark several paid for a day at once. • Tax claims you still have to look at can be searched and filtered by shop or category, so a long year is quick to work through. • Swipe left or right anywhere to change the month, and press and hold a record to delete it. Your records stay exactly as they were.

Daybook now speaks Korean, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese, as well as English, Malay, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese. It follows your phone's language, or choose one in Settings › Language. Check your bank statement against Daybook, and ask Tell Daybook more. • Check a statement: on an account's page, add your bank's PDF, CSV or a screenshot. Each line is matched to your records, and anything missing or different is shown for you to add or fix. It is read on your phone. One statement a month is included; Daybook Pro checks as many as you like. • Ask Tell Daybook in your own words: where you could cut back, what went up this month, what is left in a budget, what you can spend a day, your balances and net worth, what your cards owe, your subscriptions, tax claimed and the bills still to pay. Every answer is worked out on your phone, from your records. • Send Tell Daybook a screenshot of your bank, card or e-wallet app: each payment becomes a record to check, and payments already in Daybook are marked, so nothing is added twice. • Share › Daybook from any app sends screenshots, a PDF statement (even a password-locked one) or a message to Tell Daybook. 15 screenshots and 3 PDF statements a month are included; Daybook Pro reads as many as you like. • Give a category its usual card, like Fuel on the Shell card, and new records in it start on that card. • Splitting a bill: your recent people are a tap away, or search everyone, open a group to tick who was there, or add a new name from the search box. • Owe someone who also owes you? Settle up from their page: only the difference changes hands, and their statement shows both sides. • Profiles: see each one's spending and net worth, or all of them together, choose the tab each opens on, and archive one you no longer use. • Paying a bill you have a reminder for? Tell Daybook asks whether to mark it paid, and moves the reminder on. • Tidier tabs and pages, a reminder bell on each card's page, and swipe left or right to change month. • New Family plan: Daybook Pro for you and up to 5 others in your Apple family. Each person's records stay private on their own iPhone.

Daybook now speaks your language. • Malay, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese. Daybook follows your phone's language, or choose one in Settings › Language. • Tell Daybook: type what you spent, like "lunch 15 with Ali", or send a photo. The record is filled in for you to check and save — read by Apple Intelligence where your iPhone has it, or with your own Gemini key. • Card taps and scanned receipts now come with a category: the one you used for that shop before, a shop Daybook knows, or — where your iPhone has it — a suggestion from Apple Intelligence. One Shortcuts automation covers every card, and can set the category too. • Paid for someone? Choose "I paid for them" when splitting a bill, and they owe all of it. • Settings › Alerts and summaries lists every reminder still to come, and the morning alert now includes payments that record themselves. • Bills spotted in your records no longer include everyday spending like coffee or groceries. • Settings shows only what your iPhone can use, and says plainly where your backups go. • Settings › Category notes: tell the AI how you file things, in your own words — it follows them when it reads a receipt, a message to Tell Daybook or a card payment. • OpenRouter is no longer offered. Receipts and Tell Daybook use Apple Intelligence where your iPhone has it, or your own Google Gemini key.

A fresh look for Daybook. • Daybook green across the top of every screen, in light and dark mode. • Each profile has its own colour, so you can always see which books you are in, personal or business. • With the app lock on, a new lock screen and app-switcher cover in Daybook green.

• Apple Intelligence now reads your receipts by default where your iPhone has it. A scan that comes back unclear is read again with it on its own, right on your phone — nothing is sent anywhere. • If Apple Intelligence is turned off, More › Settings › Receipt scanning now shows the steps to turn it on for your iPhone. • Ready for the folding iPhone: open it and Daybook uses the whole screen, and turns with it when you hold it sideways. • Daybook Pro: a cash, bank or e-wallet account can now be in another currency. A USD account shows its balance in USD, matching your bank, with what it is worth in your own currency beside it. • Moving money between your own currency and another works out the other side for you. Type what your bank shows instead, and the rate is worked out from it. • Paid in your own currency from a USD account? Scan the receipt or tap "Paid in" and it is converted for the account, for you to check against your bank. • Daybook Pro: rates for the major currencies can be looked up for you, for the day of each record. Switch it on in Settings; it asks first, and only two currency codes are sent. Tapping to look up a rate stays free. • Scan a receipt in another currency and the record is in it. Tax and bill splits are converted too, so your share and your totals come out right. • A record paid in another currency now shows what you actually paid, and the rate. • Recording a card tap is easier to set up: Daybook's actions now appear in Shortcuts automations, with Amount and Merchant ready to fill in. A tap that arrives without an amount waits for you instead of disappearing. • Each screen shows a tip the first time you open it. Find them all under Settings › Tips & tricks. • Daybook now works wherever you are: about 150 currencies, amounts and dates written the way your phone is set, and receipts read in many more languages. • Fixes for receipts in US$ and CA$, comma decimals on payslips, large totals in rupiah and dong, and symbols such as € and ₹ in PDF statements.

• Fixes a crash on iOS 27 — anyone on the new iPhone update should install this. • If your iPhone has Apple Intelligence, Daybook can now read receipts with it — on your phone, free, no key needed. • Each profile now has its own people, groups and categories, so your business contacts and categories stay out of your personal lists. The built-in categories are shared. • Paid for a business expense with your personal card? Pick the card under Paid personally: the charge stays on your card, the spending goes to the business, and it shows what the business owes you. • After tapping your card, add the receipt or split the bill straight from the sheet that follows. The amount stays what the card charged. • Tighter privacy: Daybook locks as soon as you leave it, and your figures are hidden from the app switcher.

• Home is redesigned around how your month is going, and the flow is simpler: scanning goes straight to the record, and everyone you share with is on one People page. • Splitting a bill is rebuilt: split equally, by item or your own way, share service charge and tax fairly, and say who paid — you or a friend. • Bills and pay can record themselves: turn on auto-debit and a bill is recorded on its due day; turn on paid in automatically and your salary arrives with its payslip. • Payment alerts now have buttons: Mark paid right from the alert, or Remind me tomorrow. • Card statements work like your bank's: anything left unpaid carries over, paying early counts, and a part-payment keeps the rest due. • Got money back? Record a refund on the purchase and it comes off what you spent and off any tax claim.

Tax claims Daybook already held the two halves of a tax return and never joined them up: what was taken off your pay, and what you spent with the receipt photographed. This release joins them. Mark a record as claimable against a bucket you name yourself. Daybook ships no list of reliefs and no ceilings — the list differs in every country and changes with every budget, so you name your own buckets and set your own limits. The app counts what you mark. It does not decide what your tax office allows. • The Tax claim row appears on the transaction form, on scan review and on each record, once you have set up a bucket. Scan review matters most: that is when the paper is still in your hand and you remember why you kept it. • Three answers, not two — not looked at, claimed, not claimable. In March the question is not what you claimed but what you have not looked at yet, and that is the only way a year's review can ever finish. • Only part of a bill can qualify: an insurance premium, a medical bill shared with a parent. • What you can claim, on Reports → The year, beside what was taken off your pay. Each bucket against its ceiling, and the money above it named rather than quietly dropped. • Seal a year into one file — the figures, a manifest listing every claim, and every receipt image behind them. Where a photo is no longer on file the manifest says so, because a gap you can see is one you can still explain. • Claims with no receipt photo are counted on the front of the screen. That is worth knowing in August, when you can still go and find them. • Your tax year does not have to start in January: 6 April, 1 July and 1 April are all one tap away. A receipt you have marked as claimed is never cleared, whatever your plan. Tax claims is a Pro feature — a claim is only worth the receipt behind it, and free accounts clear receipt photos after three months. Also in this release • The receipt reader now names the provider and the model that refused, rather than blaming "the provider" for a model that cannot see pictures. • Reading a receipt no longer holds up the screen — leave the page and the answer finds you. • Automatic backups now survive deleting and reinstalling the app. • A card statement you are not paying this cycle can be told so. It goes quiet until the next one closes; what you owe does not change. Money coming in, and what it is for • A reminder can now be money arriving — a salary, a rent cheque. The balance forecast counts it, so it stops reporting shortfalls that the pay fills. It was counting every bill of the next sixty days and none of the income. • Saving for, under Budgets: name what you are putting money aside for and watch it fill. A budget is a ceiling; this is the opposite shape. • What you are worth, month by month, on Reports → The year. It reads the records you already have, so there is a history the day you open it. • Siri and Shortcuts: "Record an expense in Daybook", "Scan a receipt with Daybook". • Once a tax year closes with spending still unreviewed, Daybook says so. Easier to read • Captions and subtitles are bigger and darker. The small print under a figure is now readable at a glance rather than something you lean in for. • More room in every card and row, and rounder corners throughout. • Actions that were unlabelled icons now say what they are — Insights, Export, Statement, Set budget, Accounts & cards, Scheduled payments. • Every screen holds its shape at twice the normal text size, including the ones that did not before: the figures on Home, the budget ring, and the bills strip. • Records says which month it is showing, and steps through them. • The calendar shades spending in the colour the rest of the app spends in.

Daybook used to tell you that your records never leave this phone. That stopped being true when AI receipt reading was added, and the app went on saying it anyway. The wording now follows what you have actually switched on. With AI reading set up, Daybook says what does leave: the photograph of the receipt you press the button on, sent to the provider you chose under your own API key. Only on the press, only that receipt, and never on its own. Everything else is unchanged. Your records, budgets, reminders and the receipts themselves are stored on your phone, there is no account, and there is no Daybook server for anything to be sent to.
