Treuli only works with shops that use it themselves. Ask about the QR code at the counter next time you're in, and your card is in the app.
Treuli is the loyalty card for the shop around the corner. It only pays off if your cafe or your bakery takes part, otherwise the app stays empty.
No more paper punch card going soft in your wallet or ending up in the wash. Every shop runs its own program and decides how many points you get and what you can trade them for. Treuli is where all of that lands.
How a shop gets into the app
There is usually a little sign with a QR code at the counter. You scan that. If there is none, you search for the shop by name or let the app show you who nearby is taking part. Then you set up your account there.
Collecting points
Your receipt has a QR code printed on it. Scan it after you pay and the points are credited right away. How many you have and where they came from is there whenever you want to look. Nothing for you to keep track of.
Redeeming rewards
What your points are worth is up to the shop. At one bakery it might be the coffee, at the barber maybe the conditioner. The app shows what is available at the moment, and you redeem it when you pay.
Your card
Your loyalty card lives in the app, and you can also drop it into Apple Wallet. Then you just show it at the register without digging around first.
Messages from your shop
When your shop has something to tell you, a weekend deal or different hours, it shows up in the app. It only reaches your lock screen if you allow that, and you can turn it back off any time.
Some shops add more
A few shops also set up appointment booking, show their menu, give you something for spreading the word, or keep a little extra aside for regulars with a lot of points. That is not everywhere. It depends on the shop.
More than one shop
Collecting at the bakery and at the barber? Both sit in the same app, each with its own account and its own color. You tap the shop and you are in.
What Treuli is not
It is not a discount site, and it is not a place to park the cards of the big chains. There is nothing to browse here and nothing to buy. If none of your shops use Treuli, the app has nothing to offer you. Ask about it next time you are in. It costs you ten seconds.
