Carded is an ID scanner for bars, nightclubs, dispensaries, events, and more. Point your phone camera at the PDF417 barcode on a US or Canadian driver's license or state ID and door staff see, in under a second, whether the person meets the venue's age threshold — read at arm's length in a dark, crowded doorway.
Every scan is stored as a one-way hash of the subject, an age bracket, and a result. You get an auditable record that a check happened, without holding a database of your patrons' personal data.
One verdict fills the screen, one-handed, in low light. VALID, UNDER 21, EXPIRED, CHECK, and PASSBACK each carry a word, a color, and a distinct shape at the same time, so no verdict ever depends on color alone. A misread verdict at a door is a liquor-license event, and Carded is built so it does not happen.
