=== WHAT'S NEW 1.4.0 (4000) === More control over the take without leaving the recording screen: light, exposure, 60 fps, and your latest video one tap away. 60 FPS WHEN YOUR IPHONE CAN Twice the frames: gestures and head turns come out clean, with no smearing. You turn it on in the settings, and it only shows up if your camera supports it. EXPOSURE AND TORCH AT HAND Bring the exposure down when the background is blowing out your face, or turn the light on to shoot in the dark. Both move mid-take without cutting it, and the exposure stays put for next time. YOUR LATEST VIDEO, ONE TAP AWAY A thumbnail of the last thing you recorded sits above the zoom. Tap it and it opens in Photos. LIKE THE SYSTEM CAMERA Takes are saved in the same container and with the same codec the iPhone camera uses, with no re-compression along the way. And when you stop, a screen keeps you company while the video lands in your Photos. EVERY STOP TELLS YOU ITS LENS The zoom buttons now carry the icon of the lens they use, so you can tell at a glance when you are on real optics and when on digital zoom. FIXED The back camera's 0.5× vanished if you flipped to the front camera and back: the stops were left holding the other camera's numbers. Stops showed the wrong factors. Where your iPhone has 0.5×, 1× and 5×, the app showed 0.5×, 2× and 10×, and the 1× was nowhere to be found. Limiting the back camera to a single lens opened a different one: leaving only the ultra wide, it recorded with the main camera. And that lone lens was labelled 1× instead of its real factor.

The second camera's box is yours now: give it the shape you want and move it while you record. SHAPE THE BOX Make it portrait or square, round the corners all the way to a full circle, and give it a shadow. All of it shows up in the saved video, not just on screen. MOVE IT MID-TAKE Drag it while recording and the video keeps the whole path: the box travels exactly as you moved it, with no jumps. THE SCRIPT, ONLY WHEN YOU WANT IT A switch hides it and leaves you a plain camera, for those B-roll shots where text is in the way. Your settings and your script are still there when you turn it back on. WRITING WITHOUT THE FUSS The script is edited on its own screen. Settings take up far less room, and the keyboard no longer pops up while you scroll through them. And when you stop recording with both cameras, a screen keeps you posted while the two takes are merged into a single video.

The reading line now moves. Raise it and you read closer to the front camera lens: it shows in the shot, because you stop looking slightly below it. You can now record with both cameras at once, with the second one in a preview you drag wherever you want. And the script tells you it can be tapped: one tap starts it, another stops it.
