HOW A REP WORKS
Lean your iPhone against something across the room, or sit at your Mac. You get a topic in huge, distance-readable type, a 3-2-1 countdown, and the clock. Then you talk. When you stop, Aplomby analyses your delivery and hands you a score card.
WHAT IT MEASURES
• Pace — words per minute, against the 120–160 range that reads as confident
• Filler words — every "um", "uh" and "like", counted and shown in the transcript
• Pauses — the longest silence, so dead air stops being invisible
• Airtime — how much of your target you actually used

Every lesson, scenario, topic and score card is available in German, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Simplified Chinese — written in each one rather than run through a translator. The parts that are about English were rewritten rather than translated: the filler words are the ones your language actually has, and the pace band is measured in the unit your language is actually counted in.
Also in this release: the diction lesson now teaches the sound your language really loses, and every practice persona has a name you could meet.
