Bible Atlas: Journeys

From Exodus to Paul's Journeys

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Follow the journeys of Scripture on a map. From Abraham's migration to Paul's voyage to Rome, fifteen journeys recorded in the Bible are drawn as lines on a map. A trip that reads as a single verse on the page becomes a real distance on the map. It's only there that you feel it: Elijah fled 150 km from Jezreel to Beersheba — and then another 300 km on to Horeb. ■ What's inside · 15 journeys Abraham's Migration / The Exodus / Journey of the Ark / David's Flight / Elijah's Flight Assyrian Exile / Babylonian Exile / Return from Exile Galilean Ministry / Passion Week Paul's First to Third Missionary Journeys / Voyage to Rome The Seven Churches of Revelation · 82 places Spanning six eras from the Patriarchs to the Gospels, with each era shown or hidden on its own. · The Twelve Tribes' Allotment See the land Joshua divided, tribe by tribe — including why the tribe of Levi received no land of its own. · The Divided Kingdom The territories of Northern Israel and Southern Judah, and the border where the two once met. ■ What we paid attention to · Roads are drawn as solid lines, sea routes as dashed lines. Using the same line for both would make it look like someone walked on water. · Places whose location isn't certain are marked "location approximate." Scripture leaves no small number of names without a known site, and marking them as certain would make it impossible to later tell that they were only a guess. · Every point comes with a Bible reference and a one-line note, along with its modern-day name. ■ Good to know · The map background is downloaded, so an internet connection is required. · No account, no sign-in. No personal information is collected. · Bible text itself isn't included — only chapter and verse references are shown. Map data: OpenFreeMap · OpenMapTiles · OpenStreetMap

Now available in 21 languages. Italian, Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi, Arabic, Swahili, Hausa and Burmese have been added — twelve more languages. Place names and book names follow the wording of each language's own Bible rather than a transliteration: CEI 2008, the Synodal Version, Kutsal Kitap, Terjemahan Baru, Van Dyck, Biblia Takatifu and others. With so many languages on the list, the language picker now scrolls.
