LLMGuard Pro is a local network monitoring tool for developers. WHAT IT DOES It uses a Network Extension content filter (packaged as a system extension) to show which AI coding tools — and which child processes those tools spawn — connect to which destinations, and how much data is transferred. This helps developers understand and audit the network behavior of AI CLI tools they run locally. HOW TO TEST 1. Launch the app. It runs as a menu bar item (LSUIElement). 2. Click the menu bar icon, then "Install Extension". macOS will prompt for approval in System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions > Network Extensions. 3. After approval, run any network activity (for example, open a website in a browser, or run a command-line tool that makes HTTPS requests). 4. Click the menu bar icon again — traffic grouped by process appears, along with destination domains and byte counts. PRIVACY - We do NOT decrypt TLS. No man-in-the-middle, no certificate injection. - We do NOT read request bodies, response bodies, prompts, source code, or file contents. - We only parse plaintext protocol headers exchanged during connection setup (DNS answers and the TLS ClientHello SNI field) in order to display a domain name instead of a bare IP address. This is the same approach used by other network monitoring apps on the Mac App Store. - All data is stored locally in the app's container. Nothing is transmitted off the device. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting, and no account system. - Full command-line arguments are deliberately NOT recorded, to avoid capturing prompts or secrets. SUBSCRIPTION The free tier is fully functional for live monitoring with 3 days of history. The subscription unlocks longer history, the vendor matrix view, anomaly detection, and export. Monitoring behavior is identical in both tiers — the system extension has no knowledge of subscription state.
