Signing in by code is steadier. If the code from your email came back as wrong even though Netted had already let you in, you now go straight to your team instead of an error message. We have also fixed a pause that could briefly freeze the screen when something went wrong in the background, and stopped the app asking how you are getting on before you have had the chance to get on with anything.

Sign in without leaving the app. The email we send now carries a code as well as a link — type the code in and you are straight back in, no browser, no switching apps. Fixed: the app could tell you that you were not signed in when you were, and then refuse to create a team or save a change. It no longer does. Our emails have had a tidy-up too — they are easier to read, and replies now reach a person.

Share cards fill the whole frame. No black bars behind a card on Instagram Stories, WhatsApp or anywhere else you post it. Full time is saved even if your signal drops. End the match on a weak connection and the result still lands. Meet time follows the match. Start a fixture on a different day from the one you planned and the meet time moves with it. Player cards tell you when the photo has changed, so you can refresh the card instead of sharing an old one. Also: a steadier sign-in, a suggestion when an email address looks mistyped, age groups that no longer get cut off on long team names, and plain English instead of "in 42693 min" when a match starts early.

A new Offers section, Parents' Player voting back in working order, and a tidier way to reach your account. • Offers — a new tab for exclusive football deals picked for grassroots families. Boots, teamwear, training gear, equipment and goalkeeper kit. The first offers are on their way, and if you run a football brand or shop you can get in touch with us from the same screen. • Parents' Player voting works again. Votes now save properly and the winner is announced once voting closes. • Settings has moved. Tap your account picture at the top right of any screen to reach your account, notifications, teams and help. • Your season card leads with your child's best stat — clean sheets, goals, assists or awards — instead of a bare zero. • Tap a birthday notification and it opens that child's profile. • A fresh look for match cards and player profiles. • New to a team? Netted now asks which player is yours, so stats and notifications follow your child straight away. • Steadier sign-in when the signal drops, and a few smaller fixes around the squad screen and email sign-in.

Live Activity for match day — Netted tiles now appear on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island half an hour before kick-off, update the score in real time as goals are logged, and close with the full-time summary. Custom whistle and goal sounds throughout. This update makes match day smoother: • Pause and resume the match timer at half-time. • Correct a goal you logged — change the scorer, assist, or minute in a tap. • Admin can now pick the winning Parents' Player if the vote ends in a tie. • Promote a co-parent to co-admin so the team isn't tied to one person. • Invite other parents with a QR code or a share link. • We now warn you if a team with the same name already exists, so parents don't accidentally start a duplicate. • Small polish and reliability fixes.
