Draw your real classroom, seat your class, and keep every arrangement saved. Live warnings when two flagged students end up side by side. Paid app, no free tier. Seating charts that actually save. SeatMaker Pro is a seating chart maker for Mac teachers who rearrange the classroom more than once a year. Draw the room you actually teach in, seat your class in it, and keep every arrangement — the layout is still there tomorrow, next term, and the morning a substitute walks in. DRAW YOUR REAL CLASSROOM • Drag desks anywhere on the floor plan, rotate them, snap them to a grid • Rectangles, round tables and trapezoids, with 1 to 8 seats each • Place the door, board, windows and teacher desk so anyone can orient themselves • Save as many rooms as you teach in MANY SAVED CHARTS PER CLASS • Unlimited saved seating charts — rows for the autumn term, tables for labs, a draft in progress • Everything saves the moment you change it, permanently • Duplicate a chart to try something new without losing the old one SEPARATION CONSTRAINTS WITH LIVE WARNINGS • Flag two students who must not sit together • Any chart that puts them side by side lights up in red straight away • One button rearranges the class until the conflict is gone • Seating notes such as "front row" or "needs the aisle" print with the chart SEAT THE WHOLE CLASS IN ONE CLICK • Fill every seat by first name, by last name or shuffled, then move anyone by hand • Paste a whole roster from your gradebook, one name per line • Mark students absent and keep them out of auto-seating A RANDOM NAME PICKER THAT IS ACTUALLY FAIR • Names are weighted toward the students you have called on least • Absent students are excluded automatically • A visible history, so you can check the balance for yourself GROUP GENERATOR • Random groups of any size, in one tap • Students you keep apart land in different groups PRINT FOR THE SUBSTITUTE FOLDER • Print any chart, or export it as a PDF • The orientation toggle draws the plan either from the front of the room or from the teacher's desk — turned 180°, so left and right match the person holding the page • Seating notes and unseated students print underneath PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your Mac. No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Student names never leave your computer, and you can delete everything from Settings at any time.
