Draw a target response by hand and watch the achievable FIR converge as tap count increases. Import FIR impulses, compare phase, and export coefficients.
FIR Drawer is a visual finite impulse response filter designer for macOS. Draw target magnitude and wrapped phase by hand, then see what the selected tap count can actually achieve.
Design sources:
• Draw magnitude and phase directly on the response graph.
• Simulate parametric IIR filters.
• Create high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass brickwall responses.
• Import existing FIR impulses from coefficient text or mono WAV files.
Explore tap counts from 16 to 8,192 and compare how the achievable response converges toward the target. Choose 44.1, 48, or 96 kHz, linear, source, or minimum phase behavior, and multiple truncation windows.
Export mono Float32 WAV filters or text coefficients. Save complete projects as JSON and reopen them later.
FIR Drawer runs locally, needs no account, and does not process live audio or collect personal data.
