Explore weather with the new Radar Observatory. Keep the map in view while reading current conditions and scrubbing through the loop. Locations without a personal weather station now show official forecasts and nearby observations. On iPhone Duo, the tabletop layout keeps menus and readers within their pane, while the closed display gives weather more room. This update also improves iPad layouts, radar navigation, and sideways scrolling through Home's weather cards.

Radar fills unfolded and tablet screens, with Weather, Station and You available in a side panel. On a folded Duo, navigation uses the right-side strip when space allows. Rotating keeps your selected screen and open details in place. Changing your weather location now moves Radar with it. Navigation controls stay responsive as weather updates.

Home and Station now keep the location picker within reach while you scroll, with wider weather cards and condition labels that wrap. On wide screens, read weather over a larger radar map and choose radar products from Home. Radar keeps navigation available beside the map when the display provides room, and full-screen Radar gives its controls the space they need. The compare button follows the map layout and shows an empty box to return to one pane. This update also includes clearer weather-balloon sounding guides, precipitation lessons, account protections, and smoother radar loading when switching locations.

Explore the atmosphere above you with observed weather-balloon soundings. New introductions explain what a sounding is, what launch times such as 12Z mean, and how forecasters use these measurements. Guided first readings help you explore temperature, moisture and wind, with lessons alongside the charts. This update also adds radar video sharing, radar-site search, clearer regional coverage guidance and a reorganized You area for account, places and settings.
