Your dog just ate something off the floor. Is it dangerous?
Can My Pet Eat answers that in about two seconds. Pick your pet, type the food, and get a clear verdict — safe, caution, or toxic — with the reasoning behind it.
WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL
Over 700 answers are built into the app: more than 80 foods and 30 plants across all six pets. No spinner, no connection, no account. It works in the car on the way to the vet, and it works in a basement.
WHEN IT'S SERIOUS
A toxic verdict doesn't stop at "no". You get the symptoms to watch for, what to do right now, and a button that opens a map to the nearest emergency vet for your species — an avian vet for birds, an exotics vet for rabbits and hamsters.
HOUSEPLANTS AND FLOWERS
Your cat chewed the bouquet? Lilies, pothos, sago palm, aloe, tulips and dozens more, each with its own answer for every pet. A lily is a trip to the vet tonight for a cat; a spider plant is nothing to worry about.
SCAN A PLANT
Not sure what's in the pot? Point the camera at it. The photo only tells the app which plant it is; the answer comes from the same checked table as everything else. If it's a plant we don't cover, the app says so instead of guessing. 3 scans a month are free, and scanning needs a connection.
SIX PETS, NOT JUST DOGS
Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, hamsters and fish. The same food gets a different answer for each, because it should. Onion is dangerous for a cat in a way it isn't for a rabbit.
MORE THAN YES OR NO
Every answer tells you how much is safe, which part of the food is the problem, and what to offer instead. Cherry flesh is harmless; the pit is not. Carrots are not the rabbit staple the cartoons promised.
CAN MY PET EAT PLUS
For a house full of plants and pets: unlimited plant scans, My home (the plants you own and which of your pets each one is a risk to) and all your pets by name, with every answer showing how it affects each of them. Every food and plant lookup, every pet and the emergency steps stay free.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Your recent searches, your pets and your home list stay on your phone. A photo you scan is used to identify the plant and is not stored.
FROM CANMYPETEAT.ORG
The built-in answers come from the same research behind canmypeteat.org and published veterinary toxicology. Any answer that hasn't been checked by a person yet is clearly marked in the app.
IMPORTANT
Can My Pet Eat is a reference tool, not a veterinarian. It cannot examine your animal, and it doesn't know their age, weight or medical history. If your pet has eaten something you are worried about, call a vet now rather than reading. Acting early matters more than knowing exactly what happened.
SUBSCRIPTION
Can My Pet Eat Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly; the yearly plan starts with a one-week free trial for new subscribers. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you subscribe.
