ScrubKit

Blur faces, plates & data

Only for Mac

Free

Mac

Blur faces, plates and on-screen personal info in photos and video. Bleep spoken names and numbers. Everything runs on your Mac — nothing is ever uploaded. ScrubKit anonymizes photos and videos entirely on your device. No uploads, no accounts, no analytics — the file never leaves your Mac, and the app collects nothing. That's not a settings toggle; there is simply no server. PHOTOS • Detects faces, license plates, on-screen text with personal info (emails, phone numbers, cards, IDs, GPS coordinates) and screens • Blur, mosaic, solid fill — or AI Fill, which removes the object and reconstructs the background • Strips EXIF location, date and camera metadata from every export • Scan your whole photo library for privacy leaks and batch-clean VIDEO • Tracks and blurs faces and plates across every frame — no flicker • Finds sensitive on-screen text (a GPS dashcam overlay, an email on a laptop) and hides it, while leaving street signs alone • Preview sampled frames before committing to the render VOICE • Finds spoken phone numbers, emails, names and places in the audio track — transcribed on-device — and bleeps or mutes them • Review the transcript first: keep or bleep any word • Disguise the speaker's voice entirely, light or heavy CLEAN METADATA • See every piece of metadata a photo carries — location, date, camera, tracking IDs • Remove it with no quality loss, or re-encode to also disrupt AI/watermark tags • Check whether an image is tagged as AI-generated and export a copy with none of it HONEST BY DESIGN Detection is never perfect, so ScrubKit shows its work: preview frames before a render, a reviewable transcript before a bleep, and a re-scan of every cleaned file to prove the marks are gone.
