UNDERSTAND WHAT USES YOUR STORAGE
The interactive storage map presents the largest folders in pie and bar charts. Click a segment and drill down folder by folder while sizes, paths, and large individual files stay visible.
Slow analyses are cached locally. Previously inspected levels open quickly without rereading the entire drive after every click.
CLEAN WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK
PlatzPilot identifies understandable data that can be rebuilt or downloaded again, including:
• app caches and old logs
• Xcode DerivedData, simulator, Gradle, and npm leftovers
• browser render caches without cookies, passwords, or history
• old local Mail attachment copies
• downloaded iPhone and iPad update files
• Unity Hub downloads
• unused Android system images
• saved app states and selected Trash contents
See the estimated size before cleanup. Select or exclude individual categories and useful subitems. A final confirmation helps prevent accidental deletion.
Projects, Downloads, Xcode archives, app models, sign-ins, and active simulators stay outside standard cleanup.
FIND THE LARGEST FILES
Choose a minimum size and find large files on authorized drives through the existing Spotlight index. Reveal a result in Finder, copy its path, or move it directly to Trash after explicit confirmation.
UNINSTALL APPS THOROUGHLY
Remove apps together with clearly attributed caches, preferences, containers, logs, and Launch Agents. Every leftover can be unchecked individually and goes to Trash first. PlatzPilot never guesses shared containers or unknown paths.
CONTROL STARTUP AND SYSTEM AREAS
Review user Launch Agents, disable them reversibly, and open macOS login items directly. Sensitive areas such as Spotlight, local snapshots, update leftovers, Mail databases, virtual-memory files, and Photos libraries are clearly labeled so you understand the risk and effect before acting.
LOCAL, PRIVATE, AND TRANSPARENT
Every analysis runs on your Mac. File, folder, and drive information is never sent to the developer. PlatzPilot has no ads, user analytics, or account.
The App Store version accesses only folders and drives you explicitly authorize. Access grants can be reset in Settings at any time.
