Cubie moves in on your desktop, walks your windows, dances when the mood takes him, and naps when he is worn out. Cubie is a small blocky character who lives on your desktop. He walks along the tops of your windows, sits on an edge and dangles his feet, stretches, dances, and falls asleep when he runs out of energy — all on his own, while you get on with your work. HE DECIDES FOR HIMSELF Cubie is not on a timer. Eight mood axes — energy, happiness, curiosity, boredom and four more — drift toward the baseline his personality sets, and every action he might take is scored against how he feels right now. Dancing and running drain his energy; resting and sleeping restore it. Run him hard and he will take himself off for a nap. Click him and his happiness and attention go up. He notices, and what he does next changes because of it. DOZENS OF HAND-AUTHORED ACTIONS Every action is a keyframed performance with its own energy cost, not a looping idle. He moonwalks, flosses, spins, does push-ups, climbs your screen edge, peeks over the top of a window, stargazes, and sleeps standing up when he is too tired to lie down properly. MAKE HIM YOURS Import any standard 64x64 character skin PNG. You see it on the model before you commit, give him a name, and he changes on the desktop straight away. Classic and slim arm styles are both supported. OUT OF YOUR WAY Cubie floats above your windows without taking focus or stealing a click. He knows where your displays are and moves between them, so he never walks off into a gap that is not there. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Cubie runs entirely on your Mac. No account, no tracking, no network connection of any kind.
