REQUIREMENTS & DESIGNED LIMITATIONS
Headless Horseman uses the VNC screen sharing built into macOS — you enable it once in System Settings (the in-app guide shows you how):
- Requires a Mac with Screen Sharing on and "VNC viewers may control screen with password" enabled (macOS 12 or later)
- iPad and Mac must be on the same local network. Headless Horseman is not a cloud remote-desktop service and cannot reach Macs over the internet
- Sessions rely on your network's security, not encryption — use it on networks you trust, like your cart's own router or your studio LAN
- Performance is tuned for control and admin work (settings, routing software, terminals), not for watching video
