Two fixes to how the reading view is drawn. - Buttons along the top of the window now respond anywhere inside them, not only on the icon itself - Highlighted text, the find highlights and inline code no longer sit low against the line they belong to, and the bar beside a block quote is centred on the quote rather than hanging below it

Select across the whole document, and code that is easier to read. SELECT ANYTHING The document is now laid out as one piece of text, so a drag can select across paragraphs, tables and code in one go - not just within a single block. SYNTAX HIGHLIGHTING Fenced code blocks are coloured, for Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, Python, Ruby, shell, C, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, SQL, YAML, CSS and HTML. READING - Nested block quotes step in rather than growing darker - Bullets change shape at each level of a nested list - Tables size their columns to what is in them instead of stretching across the page - Reference-style links and images work - Images appear inside a sentence rather than falling back to their alt text - Pictures that declare an unusual resolution no longer render at the wrong size - The pointer becomes a hand over a link DIAGRAMS Wide diagrams scale to fit the column again, they redraw when you switch between Light and Dark, labels keep their contrast against whatever colours the diagram asks for, and a diagram that will not draw says why instead of quietly showing its source. FIXES - Various small bug fixes.

Diagrams, tabs, and polish. MERMAID DIAGRAMS Fenced mermaid code blocks are now drawn as diagrams — flowcharts, sequence, class, state, entity-relationship, requirement, pie and Gantt. They follow your Light or Dark appearance, and they are included when you print or export a PDF. If a diagram will not parse, you get the error and the source rather than a blank space, and you can flip any diagram to its source and back. TABS Keep up to twelve documents open at once. Dragging a second file in, or opening one from the File menu, now adds a tab instead of replacing what you are reading. Drag tabs to rearrange them, switch with Command 1 to 9, and have your open documents reopen next time you launch. ONE WINDOW Opening a document no longer scatters windows across the desktop. The red button hides Markdown Monkey and leaves it in the Dock, so it is there when you click it again. READING - A font size slider, in the Aa menu and in Settings - Match System appearance, alongside Light and Dark - Alternating row shading in tables, and better alignment for cells that run to more than one line - Code blocks gain controls to copy the block or collapse it to a single line - An Open button in the toolbar - Images written as HTML now render, so video thumbnails and similar markup appear as intended FASTER Long documents scroll considerably more smoothly. The find field takes focus the moment it opens, so you can simply start typing.
